I was quite pleasantly surprised when this showed up quite a bit nicer than expected. Made of real wood and yes the finish is a little rough, but this is $30 and if you really wanted to you could sand it down and throw a finish or some linseed oil on it. Latches work well, holds the watches well and the bottom drawer has a good amount of space for other jewelry or watch bands/parts/tools. For $25, this is a great watch box. It is made of unfinished walnut, so consider applying a coat of boiled lindseed oil to make it look much better. Does not feel cheap, and the bottom drawer is organized in a way that fits extra bands and links, and my link removing tool. Very, very nice for the price! ... show more

Purchased as a gift. The rustic walnut color is gorgeous in person. Overall this was exactly what I was looking for and the person the gift was for also loves it. However, some of the craftsmanship could have been a little better. One of the hinges broke after opening the box twice (the screw was stripped) but was an easy home fix. The only other issue was that the lower drawer was jammed shut upon receiving the box. It had appeared that the inner lining of the box had shifted up during transit blocking the drawer from opening, after a little work I was able to open the drawer and press the lining back down, but it is something to be cautious of. Would still buy again when more space is needed to house more watches! ... show more

If you are thinking you are getting a high of medium end case, this is not it. The finish is very rough like maybe only sanded to 60 grit if that. The overall construction is fine, finish is what one might expect for a case of this price range. For myself I needed something to store/display my watches in, but it's not a high end watch collection so this will suffice. In order to bring the finish up a hair I gave it a rub with mineral oil which helped some. For the money it's fine, but don't expect too much. ... show more
