So I have a futon that is about 32.5”H x 78.5”W x 33”D that has a velvet material. I also have a Shepard Husky mix dog who loves to shed. So I got this to cover my futon to help with the cleaning. N boy does it help. The material is soft. It stretches very well n fits perfectly on my futon. I will say I am upset that the color that I purchase (Dark blue) does not match the color given on the picture that they display. It’s definitely more navy, very very dark to almost black. The sun has to hit the futon to make a slight blue hue to it. Aside that it’s not bad. Easily machine washable n dryer friendly. This was perfect for what we needed. My kids ripped a hole in the futon in our playroom right when we were expecting company. In a panic, I ordered this and hoped it would fit. Not only did it fit, it was perfect. It's so soft and I love how I can just pull it off and wash it if needed. You'd think it would be easier to find covers/sheets/pads to fit a futon perfectly...but it certainly is not! That's why I was particularly happy to find this terrific spandex slipcover for my new futon. As an added bonus, it can double as a comfortable sheet, as well (although it would be better in the winter months since it's somewhat similar to a flannelette sheet..) Pros: easy to remove for laundering and very stretchy. Cons: material looks/feels a bit cheap and stains very easily. A drop of water will leave a mark and make it look filthy. The fit is a bit large because the pocket is rather deep, which could be a good thing depending on your needs, but I've not seen many futons thicker than 6-8 inches. The stretch is so high which makes the deep pocket uneccessary. If the cushion/mattress is less anything more than 6-8 inches, I'd consider a different brand. BUT I also have three large dogs & unfortunately on the second day it sported a tear. The stretchy material required for a no-slip perfect looking fit is no match for those of us who NEED a futon cover to protect our furniture from the four legged beasts we love. I highly recommend this futon cover. It is stretchy a pure black color that does not wash away with constant washing. The elastic is securely sewed in and it is very forgiving where you have plenty of stretch when putting it on the futon. You don't have to fuss or hurt your hands trying to put it on. Now I am looking for one for my recliner. By the way, this is my second futon cover, I gave my first one to my sister. She loves hers and it still looks brand new. Really beautiful color. Easy to clean, soft and stretchy. My futon isn't exactly an added mattress. It is an actual couch that folds but the color the faux rose gold leather began to fade so it made my futon look knew.. I am going to buy a high density foam topper to sit on especially seeing how well this cover fits and adjusts. Because of its elasticity it doesn't tuck in at the crease of the futon but it fits really really well. I will be definitely purchasing other colors. Shipment was next day for me.
