I took a chance getting a medium size and lucky for me, it fits!! I bet a large would fit too but it may need to be trimmed shorter in length. Yay, medium size worked out! The length was just perfect for my 5'3" height, hitting my shoe without scraping or dragging on the floor while wearing flats. The arm sleeves were open, almost like a kimono (no fear for fat/thick arms), and the fabric is light and flowy; it moves and sways beautifully with my stride. Being made of 100% polyester though, the dress is prone to static electricity during the dryer season and I noticed it clinging to my leggings and camisole that I wore underneath. The neck area was a tight fit for me because the crew neck design sits higher up, presumably for modesty reasons. I would have preferred a little more room but it wasn't uncomfortable to the point of choking my throat even with the zipper all the way up. Speaking of the zipper, that is the only part I liked least because it was hard to grab with my fingers (when dressing alone) without a zipper hole loop, but the tradeoff for that is concealing the zipper while wearing the dress. It does not zip all the way down the torso, so I am guessing that individuals with wider shoulders may want to size up. Also, the dark green color had me fooled initially because I thought I received black instead but nope, it was likely my lighting that made it appear black. Really nice dark green color. All said and done, I've worn once it to my weekly prayer circle so far and it felt comfortable all around, even while standing and kneeling. I am planning to keep this as my weekly go-to prayer dress. The included waist strap (same color as the dress) is a separate piece and allows more styling options.
