I set these lights out on the back fence during the summer for some ambiance...looked terrific! About 6 weeks or so later I noticed that 2 of the sets were not lasting thru the night the solar panel was "fogging" over and not getting enough power. I hung these around my kids playground and our covered patio but they aren't bright enough for the kids or I to feel secure with each step, it's bright enough to won't walk right into a slide but still casts alot of shadows and gives you that depth perception issue, I didn't put in the ground so they're hard to mount to posts ... show more

In the Instructions it says use the mounting kit but mine didn’t come with anything to mount it so gotta figure that out but I do like it, brightness isn’t too bright but it’s good for our patio. Can’t wait to put it up.

I haven’t had these light ten months and now they are as dim as dark. Waste of money that I didn’t even get a year out of them. AWFUL AND DISAPPOINTING!! If you want temp light (3-6 months) then this is for you otherwise don’t waste your time. And I bought 3 packs. I feel stupid. I took 1 star off fr. the rating since the push button to both turn on/off & to change the light modes are not practical. Wish there's a separate switch to turn on & off, since it's difficult to know which push I had pushed that turns it on/off, especially when I was testing the different light modes. When I first received it & hung it up, I just had to take a chance that the very 1st push is to turn it on & was hoping all Afternoon that I had it out under the sun, it was getting charged. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical reading the reviews before making a purchase. I've been having it hung up since mid-May & it's still working. Hence, I'm hopeful that it will last pretty long & continue to work well. As for the brightness, it depends on how hot the sun during the day was when it's being charged & for how long. However, I'm impressed that it stays on throughout the night, until sun rise. I live in N. CA & we have been in draught for many years so I can't comment on the waterproof feature.
