Purchased two of these to give as gifts. Was told the solar charge works great and one told me it took approximately 5 hours to charge right out of the box. Not sure of longevity of usage, maintaining a charge, etc., will know more details next year after our annual camping trip.

I love this device because you need zero cables to make it useful, if you leave a cable and you’re traveling, no worries, this has got you covered, if you have a charge box and no cables still you can charge with the built-in USB-C cable and a box, if you don’t have either, you can just set it in the sun it charges quite rapidly… this is the reason why I purchased it. The only thing I wish that it did have was a magnetic disc to keep your phone from moving off of the wireless pad, other than that this power bank is perfect😉 ... show more

The charger works well to charge our devices. We followed the instructions and charged in the house via electrical power. After several days of use we set it in the sun to re-charge. It takes a LONG time to charge via solar. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

I already wrote a review but Amazon deleted it I guess. Mine came in a few days ago, it was at 2 blue lights, which means 25 to 50 percent charged. I managed to top up my phone twice on that, maybe 80% total charge. It does say it's charging as long as there's any sunlight coming into a room which speaks very well for it, but I have yet to see it fully charge from sunlight. Left it charging near the window all day yesterday from 0% and it didn't even get to 25% But, it was enough for the light to work last night, which is crucial in an emergency. I will have to run a test from 0% , charging all day in indirect sunlight or cloudy sky, and see how long the flashlight will work on continuous run. Taking a trip to farm soon in Upstate NY, so will definitely be testing it out there. I only just got it so I will definitely be updating my review over time. So far I f****ng love it. EDIT November 2019: Its going well so far. however, as a solar charger it doesnt always seem to soak up the suns energy. Ive tested it a few times on very clear days and it doesnt always seem to charge. I dont know if this is an issue with my specific one or if its the model entirely. Which is sad for me as i want to use as much clean energy as i can. As a backup charger however its great, i can use my phone all day and keep charging it with this and never need to plug into a wall. Will keep testing it with solar charging, and update again. EDIT: I was able to charge it by sun on a few occasions during an emergency and then charge my phone enough on it to make calls and send texts. I love this piece, I take it on every trip, even take out with me often locally, and its one of the best electronic Investments. I'm so grateful for this. And were on year 5 now. When I first bought this, I really liked it.Then The wind blew it off and it hit the on and off Switch and it wouldn't work.I got insurance on it when I first bought it.I called them.They told me I had to call the manufacturer.So there were 2 email addresses on the box for the manufacturer. I went through both of those. And those will not go through they sayfailed, says, it cannot forward the email. Then, I called Amazon and Amazon guy gave me a phone number to call well. I called that number, and that number doesn't handle This product you cannot get ahold of China to replace it through the manufacturing. That's got a year warranty on it. So I'm stuck with this one and I end up having to buy another one while I was dealing with all this. And then after I bought the second one, then I found out some more information. There's no way to get ahold of the manufacturer to replace it or to even do the 12 month or one year warranty on it. So, i'm out twenty eight dollars and I am not buying any more of these.Items or anything like this that comes from china through amazon.I am going to find another place to buy stuff like that.And just buy clothes or shoes.I'm done with this.They didn't even make it right.It's sadAnd they probably won't post this either ... show more
