I'll be honest, Sol de Janeiro is not cheap, but the price is consistent wherever you buy it — Amazon, Sephora, Ulta, it's all about the same. Best perfume I've had! I've had a lot of the Sol de Janeiro perfumes which I've really liked but this one I LOVED. My roommate had this perfume and I stole a little spray before I left one day- SEVERAL compliments on my smell, I couldn't believe it. One was at the gym after my workout, it still smelled good! Another was at the brewery I was working at which had an overwhelming beer smell and with me sweating and running around and I still got compliments about how good I smelt. So far, this is not only my favorite SJD fragrance, but it’s the only one of the handful I’ve tried that I like, but I like it a lot. It helps that it’s relatively violet-forward and Violet is my favorite note.

Fragrance is a very personal matter and I am very particular. There are many things that are on trend right now that smell like bug spray to me. I don't want anything quite that organic. Some vanilla fragrances to me are too musky and almost sickening. This is not that fragrance. It is soft, warm, slightly musky, powdery, rich, elegant with a very slight floral. This scent is a very good floral and gourmand scent. It does not last that long on your skin but it will stick to your clothes. It lasts 1-3 hours for other people smelling it on you. smells so good!! i like to use it after my everything shower. its a good price so i dont get stingy with how much i apply. would be a great gift for any teens or young adults. its a nice vanilla scent that isnt too sweet or gives a headache
