I made 5 gallons of Dr. Pete for super cheap. Making your own save time and money at the grocery store with all this inflation. Smells like the brand name soda and tastes like it too. Will buy again and again.

I have a Fresca addiction, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I also have a SodaStream, and I was trying to find a substitute for Fresca. This was hard to find, because it seemed like it was always out of stock. It was worth the wait, though. Like the headline says, it's not quite Fresca. Former Coke Zero drinker, but stopped buying it when the prices got so high. This tastes just as good to me, maybe better, and I don't have to spend as much. Update: bought this for a second time and this time was disappointed. The bottles were leaking and obviously had been long before shipping as there were dried specks of syrup along with the still wet syrup. I didn't trust they were safe to consume, so I tossed them. I’ve been drinking this Sugar-Free version for about 6 months now, because I have to watch my sugar and carb intake. Usually I love the flavor but this recent batch/order seems to have a metallic taste to it. YUCK! I’m not sure what happened. And the labeling changed too. I wonder if it’s the same formula?
