I use this with my Soda Stream Jet (an old model) as follows: Pour COLD (refrigerated) water into the plastic bottle that comes with the Jet. Carbonate with 8-12 shots of C02. Pour the seltzer into the glass carafe to with 1" of the top and cover. There will be a couple of ounces left in the plastic bottle--but worth it! I don't want to store carbonic acid (seltzer) in plastic, and glass holds the carbonation much better. It's thick glass and will probably last forever--may just need to get some plastic tops after a while... ... show more

I am not sure what other reviewers are looking at thinking they were getting 2 bottles but i thought it was pretty clear there was only 1 bottle. My disappointment is that it doesnt fit my soda stream. I drink alot of Perrier so i was super excited to get this as a gift for xmas. When i buy Perrier in the plastic bottles it goes flat so fast but when i can find it in the glass bottle it stays carbonated all day which is why i ordered this for my soda stream. Was so disappointed it doesn't fit. I am going to carbonate the water in the plastic bottle and pour it into this ine and see if it stays carbonated longer. I have the non electric soda stream , not sure which model this is meant for but its not this one. ... show more

So this may sound strange, but I swear the bubbles seem finer out of the glass bottle than the plastic and I love it! While this is only meant for one of the Soda Stream models, I purchased an adapter so I can use them on my mine. The bottle and adapter work great and it is so much nicer to drink out of glass. My only complaint is that Soda Stream doesn't make all of the models use the same type of bottle. ... show more

I bought this knowing it wasn’t compatible with my machine. So I make my bubbly water in the plastic one and transfer to this one. Keeps the water colder in my opinion and I like the way it looks. water stays bubbly about the same as the plastic one.

Seems to be a good glass bottle but the misleading description above the reviews makes you think you are buying two carafes, with a price breakdown per unit… but this is for only one bottle. Price breakdown and info given is misleading!

After reading about plastic in the brain I decided to switch out as much plastic in my kitchen as I could (it will be impossible to have a completely non-plastic existence, but I'm doing what I can to reduce plastic in the brain risk). I have a SodaStream One Touch appliance - which is not compatible with these glass bottles - but hear me out! There was a method to my madness! I figured I could keep the fizzy water and non-fizzy water-getting-cold in these glass bottles and use my official plastic bottle only for the fizzing process (it's about minimizing risk - you will never have zero risk) Now, the glass bottles are smaller than the OG fizzy bottle and I end up doing a weird pouring dance involving multiple bottles, but, really, it's working for me. I would buy these again because they are specifically constructed to keep the fizz in - and they do. Yes, that's a plastic lid but the water isn't touching it (again, minimize risk - there will never be zero risk). They arrived quickly and safely and they do what I need them to do, which is safely hold water-getting-cold and fizzed water. ... show more
