The media could not be loaded. I was curious to see what the candle smelled like after Tiegan released it last year with Snif. I purchased the 8oz. size on Prime Day. The packaging is beautiful with the milk carton shell and sturdy cardboard box on the inside, which would make it a very cute gift for someone who is a big Half Baked Harvest fan. The glass for the candle is thick and good quality, and the lid is plastic. When I smelled the candle unlit, I could smell a lot of the different scent notes advertised such as pumpkin, whiskey and chocolate. However when I lit it, I could smell more just sweet pumpkin. My husband said it smelled like gingerbread. I was slightly bummed that the whiskey scent didn’t come through more during the burn. The candle does have really great cast, and I could smell it from other rooms in my house (without it being sickly sweet), so I think it would be great for parties. I didn’t have any issues with the 8oz candle tunneling, it burned very evenly after a few hours. The candle is a bit pricy, even though I like big candles, I couldn’t see the value in purchasing the 50oz one, so I just purchased the 8oz one.

This was a huge waste of money for me. The vessel is lovely and it does burn beautifully but there is just no smell unless you put your nose right up to it. This was purchased as a holiday candle for the scent and no one in my family can even tell when it is lit. I collect luxury candles and this is a major dud. I am disappointed and would encourage you to save your money and move on.

I consider myself a candle snob, but I do love Snif. I will spend “almost” anything, if I find a scent I like. To me, it’s that important to my home ambiance. So, I decided to give winter wander a whirl. I found it to be pleasant, unusual, (in the best way possible), and has a great throw. It’s definitely not your run of the mill holiday candle. Nicely done, Snif, and Tieghan! Btw, this vanilla does not read “sweet” to me, at all.

The Lost Claus is my least favorite of my three Snif candles. I find its scent muddled and heavy with the same melted crayon note I’ve noticed in all of them. Perhaps that’s from the intense coloring used. All in all, Snif candles have a richness that borders on thick. That may or may not be your preference.
