Description

An eclectic and well implemented array of live musical influences and the raw resonance of the production defines SMOKERS DELIGHT, marking it out as an album that rises above the too often bleep-orientated ambience of the leftfield movement.

    • Sick of the radio?
Here's your album. Shut off that blasted FM and their inane lyrics and get down low with Nightmares on Wax. Everyone from your mom to friends will like this CD - at least, that's what happened in my case. The smooth rhythms and beats will hit someone who hasn't heard trip-hop (sorry G. Evelyn) /acid jazzy stuff before with a big fist to the ear. Listening to the samples here on amazon may be okay, but to really get the experience you have to get the album and listen to it completely uninterrupted - once you do, you'll want to do it again, and again, and one more time. It's anytime music, good for doing homework to, washing dishes, or just relaxin'. Absolutely wonderful, I hope more people discover this sort of music. ... show more

    • Essential Contemporary Vinyl
The vinyl version of this release is by and large one of the finest in production value and sonic quality. Whether you are listening to a simple system, a home theater, or vintage hifi, you're gonna love this album. Essential music for a positive, active listening experience with a lot of backbone!

    • It is best heard from start to finish
This is a classic concept album. It is best heard from start to finish. The album name clearly spells out the bent this album has. The previews are pretty honest and will tell you most of what you want to know if you want to pick this up or not.

    • A delight, indeed
If you've landed on this page, that means you're going to love this album. What a fun, groovy listen. At once fresh and retro, laid back and strimulatimg... I've has this cd on my radar for a few months and I'm glad that I got it. It's very versatile and all in uncompromisingly cool. Some elements of world, new age, beat, jazz all blended smoothly into a rich yet transcendental mojo for whatever might be ailing you. Let it waft over you like a breeze... smokey or not. ... show more

    • you'll like it. I don't smoke
Every song on this CD has the same virtually the same beat, surrounded by different melodies. Maybe if you smoke, you'll like it. I don't smoke. Gave it away to a smoker. They said it was just alright.

    • The consummate Nightmares on Wax album
This was the album that turned me on to NOW. Even after listening to it countless times, it still pleases with every payback.
