  • Here’s the thing..
Color: Matte Jade / Chromapop Green Mirror
Firstly, 179$ for performance sports eyewear may seem expensive, and that’s because it is. Is it worth it though? Well, I own a few pairs of Costa’s. One for fresh and the other for salt water. I also have glass lenses, and man.. they look, and feel worth every bit of the 250$ per pair. The performance is hard to compete with, but that’s the thing, you can at least TRY and compete. See, there are many different off brand, clones and even reputable brands that try to accomplish what Costa delivers on, and they do get close, but never hit the mark. However, if you want to get in the game for less than 200$ you at least CAN. That brings me to these bad boys, and Smith. I love Smith, I prefer their higher end MTB helmets, and they’ve always done me justice. So, when it came to eyewear in this space.. Smith was an obvious choice for me. Upon review, I still wanted to be a “savvy” shopper and noticed something strange. You can’t seem to find a good “entry” pair of shades for MTB. It’s either 20$ Chinese junk, or 200$+ name brand eyewear. That kinda stinks, because while I don’t fish everyday, I can still rock the Costas I have because they.. well, dont look as ridiculous as biking shades to be frank. So, what I’m saying is I wouldn’t have mind as much going for a lower entry point MTB shade that could deliver 90% of what the name brand, Smith in this case, is delivering. So, I tried several pairs of the no name Chinese stuff and was bummed right out of the gate. It was the same story.. flimsy, cheap, smells like chemicals, and honestly.. probably doing more harm being this close to my eyes than not having anything at all lol. That being said.. I noticed the ugliest, no offense Smith, pair of these became available for 60$ and jumped on it. I’m more of a function over form kind of guy, so if I could get the functionality, idc how neon green and purple they look. Man.. I am sold! These fit so well, and were a pleasure to wear. I used them during golden hour, in and out of a woody trail, and they delivered! Pleasure to look through, everything looked HD.. If that makes sense, and I’m sold. I’ll gladly penny up retail on my next pair. I really don’t think you can go wrong with these, and honestly they really are made so much better than the 20$ knock off equivalents tbh. 5/5 for me ... show more

  • Excellent cycling glasses
Color: Matte Black / Grey
Super light, good coverage, comfortable and clear vision though the lens. I like the adjustable nose pad. It’s almost too easy to remove the lens from the ear pieces.

  • Great Sunglasses for Cycling
Color: Matte Black / Grey
Great sunglasses for cycling. It came with a case and a clear lens, so if you want to switch out the lens you can. The only drawback is that for different head types it may not be for you. If you have a more rounded head which would be wider, it would be a little too tight for you. If you have a more slimming featured head than it would be a perfect fit for you. I was looking for a cycling sunglass with a nose bridge and this works for my facial feature. ... show more

  • NOT the Reverb, but the Attack Max sent is good
Color: Black / Photochromic Clear to Gray
We ordered the Reverb, but being unfamiliar with the Smith Optics line did not realize that what we were shipped was the Attack Max model. Perhaps I should have realized what happened sooner, since later on I ordered another color of the Reverb and the attachment of the earpieces to the lens was completely different that the first "Reverb" we had ordered. I chalked it up to a manufacturing change. For the record, I like the attachment of what I now realize is the Attack model much better than that of the Reverb. Anyway, fast forward to today when, after being struck by a car the lens needed replacing, I realized that the model we have is NOT the Reverb, and a replacement photochromatic lens for the Attack Max is not currently available. Bummer! But I'm ordering a discounted full set of the Attack as a replacement, because we really like the Attack model. The Reverb in another color that I have and use is still a nice enough set of glasses, but as mentioned above, the attachment and removal of the earpieces is nowhere near as simple as on the Attack. Hence the 4 stars. The Attack would receive 5 stars. ... show more

  • excellent cycling glasses
Color: Matte White / Green Mirror
I am an avid cyclist and race road bikes. I've had many pairs of glasses from all of the top brands. My Oakleys just broke when taking them off after a ride so I decided to try another brand. I like the frameless glasses and liked the shape and color of these. When I got them I was pleased that they fit snug but not tight. Very good lens quality and come with a second clear lens for rain days or low light conditions. Also come in a very nice, solid case. I highly recommend these glasses! ... show more

  • So good, I forgot I was wearing them
Color: Matte Black / Chromapop Opal Mirror
Love how light weight and sturdy this product is. Wore it for a 3-mile run and didn't ever slide down my face or bother me. I felt after a few minutes that I wasn't even wearing them. Also, they are much brighter on the outside and reflective but from the inside, it doesn't distort your view or seem too shaded. Perfect mix of protection from the sun and stylish from the outside. ... show more

  • Great for road riding
Color: Matte Black Cinder / Chromapop Red Mirror
Great protection for those long days on the saddle. Comes with low light vizor as well but haven't used it yet. Really comfortable on the nose and no pain on the ears even after hours with them on.
