First I need to explain that I live off grid and my house batteries need to be replaced in my solar power system, but for many reasons this is not the appropriate time for me to buy them. Second I need to explain that I went on a Carnivore Diet a year and a half ago and never looked back. So my big refrigerator that was eating up electricity and dying at night when none was to be had was really not needed when I had no vegetables, drinks, snacks, fruits, etc. that needed refrigerated. All I needed was a small dormer size refrigerator to keep the meat I was to use for a day and a few days worth in its little freezer section. And I needed one that did not have to use electricity. So VOILA! I discover this little propane refrigerator that can also run on electricity. I do like that it can also use electricity, since I won't have to use propane on those long sunny summer days when my solar panels charge up the old batteries. Nights they will go back on propane, until batteries eventually get replaced. Just some comments that may be helpful if you are thinking of getting a propane refrigerator. I thought I wanted the refrigerator inside my house. But I knew that I did not want a propane tank inside my house. So I did get a flue kit and lined up a carpenter to drill the hole in my exterior wall so that the propane tank could be on the screened in porch on the other side and to build a cabinet to "channel" the flue and to keep the cat from going to the back where the flame was. Unfortunately the carpenter backed out and storms and winter approached. So the refrigerator stayed on the porch with the propane tank. But when the winds were exceptionally strong, the flame would be blown out. So I moved the refrigerator from the south facing porch to an east facing porch. At the same time I got a propane freezer. The photo shows the two appliances. This has been a perfect setup. Besides the flue (if putting refrigerator inside), I had to get a regulator hose. Both the Seller and Amazon recommend a high pressure regulator. I and other reviewers have discovered that this does not work. I got a low pressure regulator hose, same ones that I use for my grill, griddle and outside propane burners (on my Summer Kitchen Porch). That works. No hassle, No adjusting. Just connect be propane tank and refrigerator. The refrigerator runs too cold when it is freezing outside. I suppose if I cared, then I would need to have a insulated cabinet around it. But since I am only keeping meat in it, I just defrost the meat if it happens to be frozen. When the temperature outside was hot, it did keep the refrigerator temperature. That is what is most important to me. The refrigerator did arrive with a slight dent in the door, just as some other reviewers have noted. The shipping materials were perfect, so it had to have been shipped with the dents. But they are barely noticeable, it doesn't do anything to the function of the refrigerator. You can't even see them in my photo. Very subtle and you have to look at a certain angle. It only has a 12 month warranty and I don't know anyone around here (I'm in VERY rural location) who would be able to fix it, if it stopped working, but I am hoping that it just keeps on keeping on. ~update 2~ It’s April 2021 and we’re back to a refrigerator that won’t stay lit. Trying to contact the seller for troubleshooting advice. ~Updated at the bottom~ I ordered the 3.5cuft model and installed it in our camp trailer last week. First, this is incredibly easy to install. It’s wired and plumbed, ready as is. We had to have an extension tube made for the gas line because the old line was attached to the bottom of the unit vs the top like this one. It was a quick fix, under $10. We did have to modify the old cabinet, but again, it was very easy. It fired up in the driveway, but wouldn’t stay lit when we got to the campground. We emailed the seller and had almost instant feedback from them about what the problem could be. Sure enough, their tech support was correct that our thermocouple wasn’t as sensitive as it should be. They sent us detailed instructions on how to fix it. Other than having to take it back out of the cabinet to get to the panel that needed removed, tightening the thermocouple was a breeze (though the instructions where for the wrong model, it was easy to figure out once we looked at it). Luckily, we travel with a generator, so we made it through the weekend until I could get the frig out of its cabinet. So far, it’s working fine now. Really hoping it does this weekend after we drive with it as well. But at least we have that figured out! Storage area inside is prefect for two people, freezer works great. 12volt will drain three coach batteries in about 8-10hr. Electric is prefect. The RV shop wanted $3000 for replacement of our old one with a unit half this size (we had an 30 yr old Dometic with a size that no one makes anymore.) For the price of this frig and the incredible tech support, I can handle a couple of bumps in installation. Update 8/23/19: We ended up exchanging the original frig with a new one. The manufacture was willing to send us new parts that we believe the frig needed, but they wouldn’t arrive in time to do the exchange if it didn’t work. Amazon was great about the exchange (I called to make sure they actually wanted it back from Alaska). They had UPS pick it up at our home the next day and the new one to us in five. The manufacturer had also shipped us parts, just in case we ever need them for the new unit. We’ve installed the new one in the camper and tested multiple times, over night, in our driveway. We’re hoping to take a drive with it soon to make sure that traveling with it isn’t a problem. So far, everything looks great with the new unit. I’m still pleased and have no complains about customer service at all. If we have more problems, I’ll update. If it runs prefect, you won’t hear from me. :) ... show more

The top is dented in. The air inside isn't cold. We wasted a lot of time trying to get the unit to work. The door is not reversible, unless you are willing to to take the refrigerator apart. Per the seller, "not easy." Two weeks of emails with the seller in China never brought a solution. Returned. Awaiting the refund. ... show more

We are still trying to get the fridge up and running, as it is our second one. The first came dented in several places and would not cool and I could not find the light. Attached is a photo which shows where I think the light should be. Am I wrong or is it missing? Thank you.

Super neat little fridge. I ordered this because I wanted a propane refrigerator, and it has electric option too! Easy to switch between gas, 120v, and 12v. I damaged the refrigerator door badly the first day by tipping the unit up on one corner to manipulate as I was moving it. I contacted the manufacturer, SMETA, and the representative was very kind in helping me order a replacement door. We communicated via email several times during the process, and the person was very clear, even though English was not their first language. Ultimately they ended up charging me only half for the door ($60 instead of $120, I think it was) without my even asking. ... show more
