Description

Inside the sealed chamber is a mixture of ammonia and water. When boiling. the ammonia turns into a gas and rises into another chamber. It is in this chamber where it cools and goes back into a liquid form. From there the ammonia flows into an evaporator and mixes with hydrogen gas. This creates a endothermic chemical reaction that absorbs the heat from inside the fridge, thus cooling the inside the refrigerator. This fridge offers three power options: 120V when connected to shore power or a generator, 12V for use while in transit (though not recommended for extended use due to battery drain), and propane. Uniquely, it runs on propane gas only—natural gas is not compatible. This flexibility makes it ideal for various travel or off-grid scenarios.

Do not buy as there's a good chance it may not work. I'm a professional RV appliance installer and I installed this a refrigerator and the thing didn't work right off the bat and they want over $1,000 just to send it back on my own. Do not buy shop locally and stay away from this company

Installation is relatively easy for someone who is handy, although it is a tight fit through a standard RV door. I had to remove the fridge doors to gain an extra inch of clearance and even then we had to ease it through the opening. Fits the old Dometic fridge opening perfectly. Installation and connections are straightforward, needing TWO 12V connection, including a dedicated large gauge (10AWG) run directly to the battery for the heater line. Existing propane tubing lined up perfectly, 110V plug went into the existing outlet. Found an old screw in one of the wall anchor holes, suggesting someone had previously installed and returned the unit. Not good. Still, it runs perfectly (and automatically) on 110V and propane, yet to try 12V. Installation manual is woeful, with little or no operating instruction ( how to adjust temperatures, food storage tips etc.). It has 6 pages on replacing or changing the direction of the door hinges! Anyhow, nice not to have to worry about food spoiling while on a trip. ... show more

When I first read the reviews on this refrigerator I was concerned that I would get a non working unit, but it was the best deal for a 3 way so I took my chances. I got it all hooked up and I had no power and stressed a bit, but I reached out to customer service and they gave me the recommendation to check the 2 fuses on the mother board and sure enough, one of them was blown. I popped in another fuse and have not had any issues since. Please try this simple fix if you are having an issue of no power after hooking everything up. Like others have said, you must have 2 dedicated 12volt hookups (so 4 wires in total) before the fridge will power up at all. We installed a battery just for the fridge and ran the wires and it worked perfect. Customer service is A+. The fridge is extremely quiet on AC power but it's working. Perfect size for my 5the wheel and great price for this unit. ... show more

I placed the order on a Sunday night. Got a phone call from shipping that following Tuesday, that the package would be delivered that Wednesday between 11:00 and 1:00 PM. Package arrived at 12:45. That package traveled over 800 miles in 2 1/2days. Installation was very easy. The only thing is this fridge needs a deacated DC 12 Volt line for the heat. I had to add that. It was no problem.
