One year later review. Purchased solely for one time use at my cousin’s wedding, in case it rained. (Jan 2018) It didn’t and since it was still brand new, I utilized it. It was awesome to walk around fully covered and to be able to see! With time the plastic wiring started to pop out of the little sockets. I could have probably super glued every little single one to keep it’s durability. But it’s not something I have the time to do. Aside from that, it was a solid umbrella. Excited for this umbrella to arrive with all the rain that my city has been having the past few weeks. I did a lot of research and read many reviews on this umbrella. It claims to have been made with quality material, sturdy & windproof. Some reviews claimed it was made with cheap materials and was broken upon delivery. One star - Mine arrived today 03.05.18. I was hoping for a sturdy umbrella with thick plastic. Instead, I got a cheap plastic umbrella with several broken rods inside & all the ends of the metal rods were not connected to the plastic end pieces. Although I was able to place the end of the rods into the plastic end pieces, there was nothing I could do about the rods that were broken at the ajoining rods where they would bend to open/close the umbrella. The box it arrived in was not damaged in any way so..I was quite disappointed as I really liked this style. My mom has a similar one but hers is very sturdy made with thick plastic but is not windproof. She purchased hers from a local home decor store. I should have purchased one too at the time... Second star- I called Amazon customer service to request a return label & the gal I spoke with made it a very pleasant, simple & easy experience. Recieved my return label in my email within minutes of my phone call. Printed the label & went right over to my local Staples to drop of the item to their UPS drop off counter. Super easy peasy return process. In the end, I ended up going to my local sporting goods store to purchase a sturdy umbrella that is windproof ... show more

This Umbrella is great. I have several umbrellas for the Sun. However I like to have umbrella for when it's just raining and the sun isn't shining. This umbrella was perfect for me. This umbrella also brings back wonderful memories of my teenage years. I love the style of this umbrella, when the wind is blowing this umbrella is strong. It is big enough for 2 people to fit under it and not get wet from the rain. It is made of great quality.
