  • Makes for a Nice Watch
Never had a smart watch before so I wasn't willing to pay hundreds of dollars for the brand names as I wasn't sure how it would work out. Watch showed up on time. All packing was in good condition as was the watch. It looks nice, had a nice feel to it and was comfortable on the wrist. I was pretty excited to try it out. However, after wearing it for the first day/night cycle, I started noticing some not so amusing things about the watch. The display is nice, colorful (depending on the dial you choose) and displays pretty much all the main functional activities. The first issue I had was not being able to receive any notifications on it. I followed the instructions (printed in a font so small I couldn't read it without high magnification) to set up the watch/phone to receive the notifications. Nothing. I contacted the manufacturer who sent instructions on how to set up the phone watch combo. Still nothing. At this point I would like to mention, this particular watch requires many changes to be made to the phone settings in order to receive notifications which, by the way, did not work. In the end I had a bunch of changes to my phone settings with no positive outcome. My phone operating system and bluetooth version met the requirements for using this watch. The other issue I had was the sleep cycle function. It was extremely inaccurate. It showed me sleeping while I was awake and active and awake while I was sleeping. When it did register sleep, the time shown for when I go to sleep was off by many hours. The rest of the functions (steps, spo2, heart rate, etc.) Seemed to be pretty accurate though. The app is very simplistic, not much to it. Kind of limited in what it allows the user to do. Overall, for the price, it's not a bad device if you aren't concerned about sleep cycles and blood oxygen levels. I know these kind of watches do replicate medical devices and are only close estimations but, when these estimations aren't even close then what's the point? I bought three of these so I had one and shared te rest with a couple of family members. Unfortunately all three suffered the same issues so after a couple of weeks trying to get them to work with no success, I had no choice but to return them. Wish they had worked out. I actually kind of liked the watch. ... show more

  • Updated** Get what you pay for.
This watch has all the barebones functions I wanted, enough to make it worth it versus spending hundreds on a name brand watch. But it also has an aggravating problem: There is a single text that it consistently notifies me of. I've redownloaded the app, factory reset the watch, deleted the text message in question, deleted the whole CHAT. Yet, for some reason, whenever I restart my watch, it buzzes with this text dozens of times a day. I cannot seem to fix it, and it's unfortunately not worth ordering another. So, I'd say glitchy, but decent if you get lucky not to deal with that. Edit: I have FINALLY, somehow, managed to fix the glitch. It was very aggravating, but I have to admit that without that persistent issue, the watch is really solid for the price. Updating to 4 stars. ... show more

  • Functional but with some problems.
The connection protocol uses Bluetooth 1 an app. This becomes unstable in environments with lots of wifi signals. After 10 months, the band broke. When I tried to replace it, I discovered the notch for the pin is on the opposite side than all the replacement bands. Battery life if good but erratic sometimes. Screen was scratched in less than a week. ... show more

  • Wish all features included worked
For the price this is a decent watch, but there were some things that were annoying. In order for it to fully work you had to make sure to open the app so it would reconnect again and then it would sync and things like heart rate, weather, etc would work. I always left Bluetooth on, but seems to only work when you open the app I realize this is a $30 watch so can't expect much, but even features like DND didn't work really well. I liked that it had a DND schedule, but that basic feature never worked for me. I had to manually turn it on and off. Notifications didn't seem to work very well, i tried to only let sms and calls through, but was also getting other notifications i didn't want. I like how the alarm worked where it only vibrated for a little, but when i added a second alarm for the weekend, it didn't work and almost missed my plans for the day. So have to have a back up just in case. Sleep tracking only worked at first and then just stopped working even when i synced with the app Pros: nice looking watch with really good battery life, i think i went over a week right out of the box. I liked the watch faces. If you just want a simple watch and don't mind the few issues i mentioned, this is a good watch. ... show more

  • Watch band broke after 5 weeks of wear.
For a cheap watch it is ok. It takes a long time to read your pulse and O2, sleep tracking seems fairly accurate. It has software glitches, mainly the do not disturb feature. You can raise the watch and look at it to turn it on and see the time, but it has a do not disturb feature that turns that off. You can set the do not disturb to only be active during certain times, such as when you are sleeping but with my watch at least that feature didn't work. I have it set to only be on from midnight to 7am, however even outside of those hours the do not disturb is active 24/7 which means I have to manually turn it on and off each day. If I don't have do not disturb on I get about 4 days out of a charge, if I leave the do not disturb on all the time I get about 8-10 days out of a charge. It seems to be fairly water resistant, I've worn it swimming dozens of times and dove to depths of 8 feet with no problems. The watch band broke after about 5 weeks so I am returning it. I also scratched the screen somehow. I don't know when it happened so I think it scratches pretty easily. ... show more
