  • *Kinda cheapy, but fine enough as a simple stocking stuffer child's item to occupy them for a bit!*
This didn't work right at first when I tried it before putting it away to wrap it up for my son's Christmas stocking, but I had someone else try it & they got it working right lol. I don't know if I was holding the "Start" button for too long or what. It lights up brightly enough to at least make it fun for a kid & my son enjoys playing little handheld game toys like this every so often. It will be fine enough as a cheap stocking stuffer toy for him since these kinds of toys occupy him for a bit of time off & on and add a bit of fun for us trying it back & forth to see how far we can get with these types of "memory" toys. Sometimes they can turn out to be quite challenging, so it's an item that at least various ages in your family can try! There are better ones out there I'm sure, but I like that this one is different than the couple that we already have & that the buttons are different shapes. ... show more

  • Breaks very very easily
15 month old dropped it from a foot high and all plastic screw holes snapped in half. I expected it not to last long, but not even 30 seconds out of the box.

  • Simple but fun – buttons a little iffy, noises wild
The media could not be loaded. The whack-a-mole was a new one for me in this kind of device – surprisingly fun, simple, exciting. The size is a little bulky for travel – but maybe that'll help you keep your kids from bringing too many heavy other devices :) And at this price, a great choice for the beach, travel, what have you, where you'd hate to risk an ipad or anything expensive. The memory game is fun too, though it's disorienting, if you've played a lot of video games, that the d-pad is just another button like the rest, and the "analog stick" is just a start button, as far as the game is concerned. But that does help it put a new spin on the tried and true Simon formula. I will say the buttons don't have a satisfying click or travel, not sure why. And the noises it makes could get real old real fast, especially on a long car trip. The start-up noise is a wild, cthonian cyber-roar that I enjoy the heck out of, though :) All in a fine cheap little guy with two modes that a kid should get some reliable enjoyment out of when options are slim. ... show more

  • Giftable item!
Item arrived timely and as described. This is a skill and memory game for young kids that even adults can enjoy. Reminds you of the old Simon game from the 80's. Great little stocking stuffer for the young one!!

  • Simple memory toy, sound not the best
This “whack-a-mole” controller-looking toy is simple enough: turn it on, hit start, follow the prompts given by the toy itself. There are no instructions, but it is fairly intuitive. Plays well, my only objections are that the sound is rather “echoed” and “scratchy,” not crisp and clear, and it is made of about mid-grade plastic, not the sturdier plastic you would find in similar games found in toy stores. So while it seems to work so far, for sound and construction I give this 3 stars. ... show more

  • Cheaply made
It's not that great, somewhat of a cheap toy. It works nicely and it's fun but I don't see it lasting very long especially the start button.
