After searching dozens of local stores for a kitchen rug that would not slip around and would be comfortable to stand on for long periods of time I finally came to Amazon to look. It's very comfortable to stand out while I chop up my vegetables and cook for an extended time. I bought a couple of these for my mother for Christmas and she absolutely loves them. She has a tile floor in her kitchen and her feet start to hurt if she's just standing on the rug doing dishes. But with these replacing her rugs, she is no longer having pain in her feet while standing and doing dishes. She also has one in front of her stove and she is a big fan. No complaints whatsoever - the red color even matches the theme in her kitchen. You cannot go wrong with this brand! I guess technically these do what they advertise. But for the money, and they were quite pricey, I regret getting them. I was hoping they'd keep my back from getting sore from standing at the kitchen counter when I prepare food (they don't). Plus, they are so utterly annoying because each time I walk into my kitchen I swear those mats (I purchased two) have "walked" several inches from their assigned posts, and they are always crooked!! That of course infuriates the OCD synapses in my little brain so I have to tap the AWOL mats back into place with my feet, only to play this little dance again and again throughout the day. I'm quite certain that one day I'm just going to lose my normally sweet self and gleefully chuck 'em out my kitchen window. And when that happens, I'll smile a little smile of victory, make a tuna sandwich and enjoy my day in peace. ... show more

I stand at a desk all day, and this handily prevents the pain that occurs in the soles of my feet when standing too long. Would recommend. Added bonus - unlike the rolled-up yoga mat I used before, my cats don't seem interested in picking this apart!

The instructions with the mat clearly state "DO NOT BEND". But Amazon folded it and shipped it folded. Rolling instructions included clearly on packaging. BOO Amazon

I purchased this in 2015. I don't know what the useful life of the product is supposed to be, but it's about twice the price of similar things you can buy at Target, and I sprang for it because I didn't want a disposable mat; I wanted something that would last a super long time (less going to a landfill, etc.) As others may have said, the texture can make it a little hard to keep clean, and perhaps it also makes the surface vulnerable to peeling, as has started to happen to my mat after 8 years of use (see pic). I see from my order history that the "product support" window closed in 2020, which may mean that the company sees it as having a 5-year lifespan. If that's the case, I guess I got more use out of it than may have been expected, but I still don't think I'd buy it again. It IS a nice, cushy foam, but honestly, it was almost too high-profile for my kitchen (we tripped on it until we got used to it). I looked online to see if I could find the manufacturer's website so I could contact them and see if they'd do anything for me, but I couldn't find one (?) Bottom line: manage expectations--this is not your "forever" kitchen mat. ... show more

size and comfort are great! however, the color on the "indigo" is different than hoped. I knew we were taking a bit of a gamble based on the pix & reviews, but it definitely has a purple hue & the pattern is on the orange side.
