Sturdy plastic, feels like good quality. Haven’t used yet but it looks like it’ll work well. You have to really twist it to get the stacks to stay together. But the stackability is great as my daughter gets older. I purchased for an upcoming Disneyland trip. Wanted something to hold her snacks in. we have used this for months and it is awesome. usually my daughter takes one or two of the containers separately, but we do sometime stack all 3 for an outing. they are very spill proof, fit perfectly in a purse, and easy to use and wash. i never used the formula top.
