After reading reviews I finally bought this for my helix piercing that wasn’t healing properly. It was red irritated and getting on my last nerves. After four days of using this product my ear is finally starting to heal. I only cleaned with a q-tip with water and the solution. I sprayed the solution front and back twice a day. Day 1/2- it caused a bump by the piercing, I cleaned with a q-tip only with water because I wanted to know if this product was truly worth to it. Day 3- the bump disappeared as well as the irritation and redness. Cleaned as usual Day 4- cleaned with water again, sprayed the solution. My piercing no longer hurts to touch. Also this product can be a little drying on the ear. I would use a light oil with a q-tip or your clean finger to apply lightly around the ear (not my piercing) after the solution is done drying. I am truly happy because I thought I would have to remove this, let it heal and pierce it later on!

I have very thin arm skin due to aging which can break open and bleed easily. I use SkinSmart after washing the injured skin and find that my skin has healed faster than without it.

I had an incident while weightlifting where I was just moving a little too quickly and in bending down/reaching to move a barbell, I hit the top of another dumbbell at a perfect 90 degree angle with my pinky. While normally I would just curse a bit and shake my hand, I noticed blood although I didn’t feel much discomfort. To my horror, the nail separated from the nail bed - I could fully lift my nail off and I was in a little shock that it wasn’t hurting. Mind you, I also have considerably long nails (extensions/professionally done) and they’ve never hindered my workouts before (5+ years like this) so needless to say I was a little anxious. My husband told me it would start hurting but helped me clip it down, clean it (saline solution) and bandaid it up so I could go about finishing my workout. Within about 10-15 minutes, the throbbing and tightness began and I almost wished I just ripped the whole thing off. Fast forward 24 hours and it was increasingly uncomfortable despite my consistent cleaning and care. My biggest worry was fungus as this is my finger, not a toe, and not as easy to hide as it heals so I want to do this right. Everything I read I was doing (cleaning, ointment, keep dry, etc.) but the discomfort was still there and almost felt as though it was increasing, especially at work where I’m using my hands a lot. By the third day after the incident (after a bad nights sleep from the pain when it was touched) I figured Amazon had to have some sort of wound care or spray or something that was better than what I was doing. I was also a little anxious that it could possibly be infected and that was the cause of the considerable discomfort. I found this spray and figured I might as well try it based on the couple reviews I read. This is a bit of a premature review, and I will update it as the healing progresses, but I literally used it for the first time last night before bed (spray following directions and then aquaphor and bandaid). This morning is the first morning that not only has it not been hurting, but it’s also not tight when I bend my finger, nor is it sensitive if it bumps something as I had previously been experiencing. I even texted my husband to tell him I must have found some miracle because I can’t believe that quickly I was able to get some relief. I’m hoping the rest of this pinky nail recovery continues the same and will update as I go along but in the interim I’m getting a couple bottles for my office as well since we’re in construction and HVAC and cuts and scrapes are inevitable.
