No. They wouldn't really serve to go to a party or social event that was not uber-casual. However, for a day to day work shoe it is really hard to beat this shoe. It wears well, washes well, goes with all my work clothes and they allow me to walk all 8 hours of my shift without getting painful feet. Best of all, you really can just step into them and head out the door. If I have any complain it's that the sizing isn't 100% seamless. I had to get more than one pair, because my feel swell {part of the reason I truly appreciate step-into shoes} and with the lager size there was a bit of gap in the middle. Not worth getting too upset about I felt with an otherwise super functional shoe.

Skechers Arch-Fit Hands-free slip ons in a wide size. I cannot remember ever being so "at home" in a pair of shoes from the first time I slipped them on. They are on my feet from morning to night. I have heel spurs, and plantar fasciitis. These shoes support my feet and help alleviate my pain. I was wearing Birkenstocks for the pain but felt unsure of my footing going up and down stairs. These Dalaras allow me to go up and down stairs surefootedly. I was worried because the heel seems to slip a little, but the hands-free nature of the heel holds them in place fine. They are lightweight. They seem a little short in the toe box, but not enough to cause friction; even with socks. I bought another pair for backup when washing these.

The shoes are great except for one issue that may not affect others. The shoes are very comfortable and I love the fact that these are slip-ins. The heel of the shoes are higher than I expected and my feet slide down so my toes push against the front of the shoes and are very uncomfortable. My big toes are actually bruised under the nails. If not for that one issue, I would have given 5 stars.

Perfect fit for a wide foot (size 8W) and easy slip-on and off. They look a bit "preppy," like boat shoes, which is OK if you like that style. Highly recommend as a summer/hot weather shoe (I wear with no socks and my feet don't sweat at all in these comfortable shoes)!

I ordered these shoes for my 93-year-young mom. She loves them. She had become unable to put her shoes on without help, and the slip-in feature allows her to put them on. The shoes are supportive, lightweight, breathable, washable, and true to size. This is her second pair and they have held up well. She would like to see some additional color options and slip-on style options. She also prefers the dark colored sole as the white sole looks dirty very quickly.
