I really love Sketchers, always have, for some reason these ran small for me, I take size 10, Sasquatch size, woman’s size, and my toes were hitting the top of sneaker. So I knew walking would not be comfortable for me, so maybe with this particular shoe order a half size up. I returned mine and I really did love the look and the feel on my foot, but my toes were hitting and I didn’t want to take a chance. But great shoe!

IMPORTANT CAVEAT: My shoe size is really a 5 1/2 and my feet are narrow. But I buy these in a 6. So size up. If you have wide feet, these probably won't be comfortable. I got my first pair of D'Lights 5 years ago and was astonished at how comfortable they are and how well they fit me. I did a lot of hiking and outdoor labor wearing them and one shoe got its first tear last week. I was delighted to find out that they are still being made and for the same price I paid for my first pair. They are just as comfy and well-fitting as my previous pair. Hopefully they will be just as durable.

I've been wearing these shoes for years, I think more out of habit than anything else. I've become accustomed to the extra height and the little bounce in my step from wearing them. I will say that if you are purchasing them for work, keep in mind the kind of shoes you need. They are not ideal for food service- as they are not slip-resistant at all, and if you are on your feet for extended periods of time and tend to hold your weight in your heel, as I apparently do, you are likely to wear through the interior sole within 8-12 months. I generally have to replace the shoes about once every 12 months or so when these are my "every day shoes". If I have a second pair of shoes I can cycle between, I can generally go 18-24 months depending on the other shoes. I'm not sure how much arch support there actually is. I am not flat footed, but I also don't think I am someone who would have a "high" arch. I do find that these shoes are a bit easier on my knees though. I've had some pretty regular falls over the years with minor to severe sprains and strains and my knees seem to appreciate the extra cushion, especially if I am going to be up and moving around a lot. In general, if you are comfortable with the American Sizes, these fit pretty true to size. If you are going to add any additional inserts (i.e. odor eaters or cushion), I would suggest maybe going half a size bigger, depending on the thickness of the insert. In terms of color, I have owned a few different colors. I purchased the grey and white version last year and most recently purchased the all black. The black pair arrived recently and has kind of a faux suede finish that I'm not eager to wear in the rain. There are little glittery dots like accents around the lace holes on the shoes also. I had't noticed that in the pictures on the product page. They arent gems or anything, more reminiscent of like glitter glue or something. Not quite sure. I found it a little odd. Overall, I'd say if you are a fan of height and kind of a springy sole, I'd recommend these shoes. They are nice to walk in. If you are looking for more of a work out shoe... or a longer lasting support, I'd maybe look for something else.

UPDATED Review I still stick to the majority of my original review....I have added a star, changing it from 2 to 3. I am only doing this because after wearing the shoes for a few hours around the house, the tightness did loosen ever so slightly so they were no longer squeezing my foot from complete discomfort and/or to the complete point of numbness....but this was also without wearing socks and I was not walking in them. I was wearing them as I sat working. However, I still stick with saying this shoe does not compare to the size, fit, or comfort of the D'Lites Bright Sky Mule version of this shoe that was gloriously comfortable straight out of the box. --------------------------------------------- Original Review I have and love my Skechers D'Lites Mule wide-width shoes! I thought these would be the same fit and comfort, but they're not even close. I bought my mules in an 8.5 wide, which were comfortable straight out of the box. This shoe is not even close in its comfort. (and this is trying them on barefooted without socks) I don't feel any "memory foam" in these at all. They feel stiff and non-conforming to my foot. The 8.5 length of this shoe is roughly a 1/2" shorter when comparing the two shoes. And if these are "wide" width, I can't even imagine how bad a standard fit would squeeze my foot (I can tell after only having this shoe on for a few minutes, the tightness will cause my foot to go numb and this is without the addition of wearing socks which will make them ever tighter)
