This is actually the second pair I've bought, since I ran the first pair into the ground over 3 or 4 years. You can see how hard I worked these from the picture. I use them mainly as a hiking shoe for dog walking, and for home and yard maintenance. They're comfortable, and don't rub my ankles right out of the box like other boots I've tried. Most importantly, I can slip them on and off without lacing them which is SO important to me since I'm coming in and out of the house a lot. I ordered a 12 wide and they fit perfect. These are good shoes, with rugged outsoles and memory foam insoles. They seem durable and I have put them to the test on some steep, rocky trail hikes. My only complaint is the break in period. I took them for a walk right out of the box, and it was a bit uncomfortable. The toe box bends and creases a bit uncomfortably across the top of my foot. I softened the crease by bending it manually many times and working it with my hands. They are much more comfortable now and I am glad I purchased them. It's definitely a Sketchers fit, roomy, but with a good fit. I'm just "breaking" mine in, because most shoes they make require little to no break in period...but this is a stiffer hiking boot, a real low cut hiking boot, disguised as a Sketcher's. Read some of the other reviews- where this type came apart somewhere between the shoe and the sole. I suspect those folks were getting theirs wet alot, then perhaps hiking in them again without drying them out. I hike in So. Cal, where it's mostly dry, so I think mine should hold up much better, like Sketchers typically do...We shall find out!😁 ... show more

I bought the shoes several months ago. I like the looks and they are comfortable. I rated them low because after the first few months, the shoe laces come loose when walking. I have to retighten them multiple times during the day. That is very stressful when you are walking on a busy sidewalk and there isn't any place to stop and retie them. ... show more

If you're okay with buying another pair of shoes in 45 to 60 days, then this is the shoe for you. It is comfortable and waterproof, however, after about 45 days, the stitches start breaking, coming loose, falling out.

These Skechers Outdoor waterproof hiking shoes are an awesome product. This is my second pair. My first pair is 3 years old and still going strong. They just beat up a bit. They’re waterproof, comfortable and look great. The Skechers warehouse in town didn’t have nearly the selection that Amazon has, Plus the prices are at least 40% cheaper. No stores around here carry wide width shoes either. I look forward to breaking these in. There already comfortable and stylish. ... show more
