I'm old, have bone spurs and need special inserts for my shoes. I can only comfortably were one brand of sneakers. We are traveling to Iceland soon and I needed some hiking shoes. This is an important purchase for me and I needed to get it correct. I liked the X Wide size and ordered a pair. I removed the inserts and installed my Rx inserts. Instant comfort, I knew they would work. I saw a comment about the tongue being too thick, perhaps, at first it is but I think it will compress easily. Another comment about the lace length mentioned they were too short, they are too short. It's hard to pull on them with old arthritic hands, I ordered a longer pair but Skechers should provide longer laces so they can be double knotted. It's a great heavy duty shoe well built and comfortable with laces that are not up to the product standard. They weigh about 23 ounces, only 7 ounces heavier than my standard New Balance sneakers. Love them.

It seems like we start our walking lives with Skechers and as we get older we go right back to them when we want a comfortable shoe. These are great for hiking and light duty work. They’ve kept my feet warm and dry all winter long.

The laces that come with this shoe are too short... and they don't stay tied when laced. The eyelets are metal and slightly too small and at an angle to accommodate really tightening the stock laces. The heel doesn't really lock, and the collar doesn't really tighten above the ankle making the shoe feel loose. That said I had to replace the insoles with new ones. That's pretty much all the bad. I have wide feet, 10.5 EE shoes or wider. These are EE wide shoes without stretching. So if you're looking for boots that fit wide feet and don't mind spending a few bucks more on laces and an insole these are excellent shoes. The soles are well made, so far. They don't appear to be made of materials that will compress poorly over longer time periods. The tongue is thick, and attached to the bottom lace hook. It's almost too thick, but I hopefully think it will compress and relax over time and wear. The toe is solid but I wouldn't use these shoes for shop work, but probably excellent outdoors for general moving around.

I have severe plantar fasciitis. I have been trying on pair after of shows the past week. These are the most comfortable of all and the price is fantastic. When you wear a size 15 you often are happy just to find something that fits. With these the fit is like a custom shoe maker.

I was surprised how comfortable these boots were. Right out of the box they felt like "my old favorite boots". Suprisingly water resistant, although in deep, wet grass, once my jeans start getting wet, so do my socks, so as the socks wick water down my ankles, the boots get wet on the inside. That's not an issue with the boots because as long as water doesn't get over the top, they stay dry. They're comfortable to wear all day and look good too.

Purchase these for my son who is 17. He has a wide foot and they fit very nicely. I was concerned he would not like them as the brand is not keen or something similar. Teenagers can be worried about brand recognition. But to my surprise, he actually likes them. He says they’re light and they were comfortable right out of the box. we tried the other brands but they were very rigid and would take a bit of time to break in. I guess if you’re tied to a brand-name, you wear uncomfortable shoe, but thank goodness my son gave him a chance and put them on his feet and realize they were very comfortable. As far as holding up, time will tell. but the price point is so affordable I’d rather have his feet comfortable then buying another brand that’s twice the money and they hurt his feet. they were true to size, and like I said comfortable right out of the box.
