I bought these as house shoes, and they are almost perfect for that. I may buy another pair just to work in the yard, where I remove them frequently when entering the house. The heel fitment is comfortable but loose. The extra wide sizing was correct. The loose heel means you probably couldn't run in them without them coming off. If they get looser with age, they may fall off all the time. If that happens I'll let y'all know.

After my last pair of Sketchers slowly over time became a misshapen mess-- not an indictment, they lasted a good 8 years or so-- I began seeing commercials for Sketchers Slip Ins, and they seemed to be the answer to my problem. My old shoes' heel end would always get squashed down by my monster foot, and I'd have to work at pulling it up. Every time. But Sketchers Slip Ins claimed to fix that problem with a heel that won't squish down. You can just put your foot in and wiggle on in; no pulling up the heel or use of a shoehorn needed. Seemed like just the advancement in shoe technology the world needed. So I ordered them from Amazon, and after a week of wearing them, I have no complaints. Not only do they work as advertised, but there's no secret drawbacks or negatives about them that I have found. I don’t write glowing reviews very often, but I give them an A+. This is my third pair of Sketchers going back a dozen or more years, and I have yet to find a reason to try another brand. The Slip Ins come in all kinds of colors and styles, so check them out if you have trouble with your shoes' heels getting scrunched.
