Update: I went out and walked 3 miles in these today. They feel like a mattress. I love them. No pain. No discomfort at all. I will buy again. I just received these Skechers Men's Go Walk Max today. I tried them on and the cushioning is amazing; it feels like a mattress. I jogged for nearly 30 years and now walk. These shoes have more cushion than any pair of running shoes I've ever had. I used to put extra cushioned insoles in all of them, but not this. And they are very, very light. I just walked outside and inside the house. I haven't taken them for a long walk yet, but they feel great, and I know they will perform well. I bought size 13 X wide. The fit is good and the width is good, as well, with no problems. Great shoes at a good price, and they look fine overall. They’re extremely comfortable for walking, but the mesh fabric does wear down over time and can get wet easily. Still a solid choice for comfort and everyday use.

I really like these shoes. They are very lightweight, and the uppers are breathable which keeps feet free from perspiration while wearing them. The insole is very nicely cushioned and comfortable, while providing proper support. I stand on concrete floors for 4 to six hours per day and my feet are not tired, swollen or sore at the end of the day. The outer sole is thick but flexible enough to make walking easy and comfortable. I like Skechers, because I know the size is consistent from style to style. I've just received my 5th pair today. I will order more as needed. The floors at my place of work are hard concrete with no carpeting or padding whatsoever. I started wearing these Skechers Mens Go Walk about 3 years ago due to increasingly sore feet. These have been the answer to my sore feet since then. I have the blue and black pair. I'm not a fashion focused individual, so I make these Skechers Mens Go Walk work for most of my work days, with an occasional alternating with some other Skechers shoes. They go well with various khakis. They are supportive enough for me, being on my feet 6-7 hours a day. They are light, which adds to the comfort. Two things I would like to see improved. One is the lifespan of the bottom of the soles. They do wear down somewhat quickly, in my opinion - (see pictures) but I do make them last about 12 months with moderate wear showing by that time. The comfort is still there, so I could make them last longer. Since I have bought 5 pair now, I just cycle them out and the old pair becomes my casual wear pair. The other thing is the price. As I looked today for a link to write this review, the price increased on Amazon by about $11 since I purchased them a couple days ago. That is frustrating when it comes time to buy another pair. I can understand a couple dollars increase in a year's time, but not $11 in a couple days. Overall, a great pair of shoes. I will continue to buy these shoes if the price is acceptable. I would recommend these to anyone wanting/needing a comfortable pair of shoes to relieve discomfort on the bottoms of their feet. ... show more

I purchased the blue pair of Skecher-effort. I have true wide width feet and have struggled to find womens shoes that are wide enough. Plus, the blue sneakers I am finding have white outsoles and I have been looking for gray outsoles. I am very happy with the shoes. They fit great and are what I was looking for. Is this the best walking shoe out there? Nope, but what you get for the price makes them a great option. These shoes are extremely lightweight but feel well made. They are super comfortable with nice cushioning and offer good support for outdoor or indoor (treadmill) use. Super breathable, and imo they look good too. I use these for my walks and have put them in the rotation for casual wearing. At 40$ definitely get a pair ... show more
