I had all but given up until i saw an ad for these Sketchers.. so i took a deep breath and tried one more time... i am a woman who wears a size 10 or 8 in mens, so i measured my foot and decided on the 8.5 X wide So I got them today and pulled them on and they fit pergectly.. plenty long enough and wide enough finally! Sketchers has sure made a believer out of me and earned a life long customer! Needless to say.. i highly recommend these beautiful shoes for anyone who is hard to fit. The soles are great and sturdy but not clunky and the body of the shoe has just enough stretch and give to prevent any pinching or binding and they look absolutely elegant.. black on black. This shoe is on the lower end of the cost for a Sketcher shoe. I bought these purposely to see and feel how they worked for me. The fit is perfect, the support from the bottom of the shoe is great but since there are no laces the top of the shoe is not as supportive as those with laces but this is to be expected. They look and wear great though...great for walking but I wouldn't even think of using them for running or even a court sport. Enjoy them for what they are. ... show more

I've been diabetic for 40 years. Always wearing socks and shoes until recently. Getting harder to put on the socks and shoes, but these allow me to slip my foot right in even without a shoehorn. Very comfortable. Won't walk too far without socks, but I have no problem wearing these to go to the grocery store, etc. If I plan on doing a lot of walking, I will put on socks and use these shoes. I never had a slip-on sneaker before purchasing this. I walk a lot and wanted something that I could wear at least 5 days a week that was comfortable and easy to put on. I gave the Skechers a try and was surprised by how comfortable they were. The support could be a little better and if you are going to use this for more than just walking, you might want to invest in another pair of sneakers. I really like these shoes. I have been wearing them for months now. I will probably buy another set. I already had to replace the insert/sole of the shoes. The yoga foam or whatever they call it broke up after a months worth of walking. I normally walk 5-7 miles a day, and I have a corn on my foot, so I wasn’t surprised to find a hole forming after a month. I got some new inserts from target and been going fine since. The only thing I don’t like is the color. I bought the grey, and wish I went with something darker. The grey bottom and edge just make them look extra dirty and old. ... show more

I thought I would try slip on shoes. I did some looking around and chose these. Then I measured my feet for length and width and found the standard size for that combination, and I ordered. When I received them I put them on and they fit 'like a glove.' Some reviewers complained that the shoes they got did not fit. My experience is different. I wanted all black and that was what I chose. One, they fit and as such are very comfortable. Two, the texture of the upper shoe is a bit odd, but that disappears when you are wearing them. Three, the soles are thick and have a give. So you feel like you are walking on a surface that gives and gives you a bounce which is different but not unpleasant. 'Slip on' is a bit odd as characterization. They do not slip on easily. You pull on using the heel pull on loop. They are pull ons. That is not particularly difficult and when they are on they fit to the feet very nicely. I have only had them for a couple of weeks so I do not know about long term wear, but they are wearing quite nicely now. ... show more

Great overall shoes. Very comfortable and seem to be good quality. I'd give it a 5-star if not for the sizing. I typically wear an 11.5 or 12. Amazon recommended that I order a 13 based on my previous purchases. A number of reviews said to order up a size. I decided to go with my true size, which is an 11.5. They were too long and narrow. So I returned them and went with an 11 wide. Better, but still too long and slipped on the heel. Finally, I decided to try a 10.5 wide and they're perfect. It took me several weeks and returns to finally get the right fit. Befuddles me as to why a shoe manufacturer can't make a mold using a good old fashioned foot measuring instrument that are used in good shoe stores, so that sizing is consistent. Regardless of that, once you figure out what size you need, these shoes are a great value. ... show more
