  • Great for swollen feet
Size: 13 X-Wide Color: White/Navy
I had a total foot reconstruction in December and after 3 months of no weight bearing in a cast and boot, my foot is still swollen. The dr said it would be a year before that would settle out. My normal 12b foot is now a 13 EEEE. So I went to a special prescription shoe store which put me into a $200 Hoka. But my foot kept walking on the outside of the foot and hurt like hades at the end of the day. These sketchers fit amazing. No 10 minute lace up procedure and I walk on the whole foot now. Now I am not sure why the difference in how I walk but this I know…putting them on and off is so much easier and softer on the walk and wallet too! Oh yeah. I have neuropathy pretty bad so that made matters worse. Sorry to be so detailed here with my foot issues. But I have been through so many shoes trying to walk again. If you have the same issues. Get these!!! ... show more

  • Picky, Picky, Picky.
Size: 10.5 X-Wide Color: Black
Will I say fantastic? Or outstanding? Or where have these been all my life? No. But what I will say is that as I work in a manufacturing plant on my feet all day long as a 60yr old man and I will be buying these shoes until they change them so they don’t fit and function like they do today. (Which in my experience is a certain eventually). It’s like they sit around and say these are a great product so let’s make them better, not for our loyal customers but for us. Maybe we can manufacture differently or choose different, less expensive, materials but anything that will improve… the customers satisfaction, or comfort, or cost… NO!!! Sorry, just a little rant. I am very particular (picky) about my footwear and have been since I was a young man and working every day. Working in a shop on walking/standing all day or roofing -walking on ladders and slanted roofs- etc. I learned early that my feet were important. I pair all of my footwear with Dr. Scholl’s Custom Fit Orthotics 3/4 Length Inserts CF 340. I am also giving here in this review a 5 star rating for these. Since I started using Dr. Scholl’s and then in combination with these Skechers I work all day almost pain free everyday. Highly recommend. I have wide feet and the x-wide are a perfect fit. However, when I first wore these I didn’t think they would work because they were tight. And, I don’t know why but I have to loosen the straps, totally loosen the straps every day and walk from the bedroom to the kitchen or whatever just for a few minutes, because they seem tight when I first put them on. But loosening them first fixes it and they are good to go, and off to work I go. Rambling on as I do let me… SUMMARY. Good shoe. Good comfort Good fit (x-wide) Good sizing - ordered my size and received my size Good durability - use them everyday standing at work for six weeks so far A+ Good combination with Dr. Scholl’s ... show more

  • First impressions, worn once so far
Size: 13 X-Wide Color: White/Navy
First Impressions - 2025-03-15 I'm a diabetic and strangely enough, I have one foot that's swollen from toes to knee. Not much but swollen enough where I can't wear normal footwear. For the past two or three years I've been wearing diabetic slip on shoes with a huge hook and loop closure and I can't stand them because 1) they look like old people shoes and two, there's absolutely no support, especially ankle support. I used to love wearing hiking boots daily because they're more comfortable than just about any 'daily' footwear. Enter these sneakers. First the cons. * As others have reported, the hook and loop straps are very short for people with swollen feet so you have to pull them tight, which can be a little uncomfortable. To address this, I purchased some hook and loop tabs with adhesive backs thinking I might be able to rig something to extend the shoe's hook and loop straps. So far I don't 'need' to do that but if i do, I have these to figure something out. * There's no real way to find out which size to get if you have swollen feet until you order them and try them out. Should I get my normal size? Should I get a size larger? * Possible 'hot spots' inside. The inside doesn't feel smooth on my feet. I can feel lumps inside and that gives the possibility of hot spots, which could turn serious for a diabetic. Is is highly likely that they just need breaking in, so we'll leave that as a possible con. So far, considering these are first impressions, that's al the cons I can find so far. Now for the pros. * There's a lot of support. I was surprised to feel how much support there is, almost as much as the hiking boots I used to love to wear. So much that I've never had sneakers with this much support to the ankle before. * I feel like a normal person again, wearing normal footwear. * After wearing those horrible shoes for the past two or three years, maybe longer, it took a little while to get used to feeling normal footwear ion my feet again but after a short time, say a half hour of wearing the walking to my car and driving, I got used to them. The difference was the height of the out soles. * It feels good to wear these. Walking around Walmart doing some food shopping, my back didn't hurt the way it does sometimes when I was wearing those 'old people shoes' and I found my bad leg knee, I'm not limping so much and I'm not dragging my feet. I'm also taking my normal stride where with those others ones, my stride would be like how Biden would walk, like a shuffle. I hated that. So, these are my first impressions. If anything changes, good or bad, I'll be sure to post an update. ... show more

  • Black Steaks on floors
Size: 8.5 Color: White/Navy
The soles of these shoes are dyed black. And It rubs off onto my ceramic/tile floors and leave streak marks on hardwood floors. My suggestion is, buy these shoe with white soles. Also, the shoes seems a bit narrow compared to others shoes I’ve bought in the same size. I’d appreciate any suggestions on how to keep them from scaring up my floors. ... show more

I needed a pair of shoes for walking and just general use. I read a lot of reviews on many different shoes. I decided on these. They fit well and are comfortable.
