The Skechers Hand Free Slip in Shoe is an engineering marvel! Why didn't a shoe company come up with this design 50 years ago? The shoe is well made and feels substantial, and it securely stays on after slipping your foot in - yet it is easy to take off when you want to. There's no time lost tightening and tying laces. My only disappointment with the shoe is that its factory insoles offer little arch support, which my feet require, but that was easily remedied by replacing the factory insoles with arch insoles also purchased on Amazon - and they haven't hindered my ability to slip in and out of the shoes. I was so impressed with this shoe and its all-day comfort that I immediately bought a second pair!

More Like Hiking Shoes for $90-8-1/2 Size My humble thoughts on the "Skechers Men's Afterburn M fit Ridgeburn Hands Free Slip-in sneaker. (NO I DON'T REPRESENT THE SKECHER BRAND). I PAID WITH MY OWN NARROW POCKETS…MONEY$ They arrived overnight, that is good. I quickly opened the packaging and box. The color is more grayish than black. At first glance it looks like REI hiking shoe. Rugged, stiff and not so easy to slip on. No lace tie up needed. As you slip into the shoe, its apparent that its not so easy a slip on. Even after you struggle to insert your foot. I always slip in the right foot first. You still need to wiggle in and out until the entire foot is secured in the shoe. There are always more minor adjustments that need to be made in the shoe tongue area, and on the ankle wall. Just pull those areas tight, and then you are ready to walk. Walking wise, the shoe is firm, and there is no wobbling. The padding seems to absorb part of your weight, as you stride on the left and right feet. The bottom soles are ribbed at the front of the toe, and on the heel of the shoe, there are six non-skid small circles that secure the shoe from surface slipping. Again, its more of a rugged hiking demeanor in style, than my other shoes. This shoe looks like it can take a beating. It will probably last for years. Pros: Comfortable after a few walks in the shoes. Price is okay. All good Skechers are $90 or more in cost. The cheaper ones have no stability and less comfort. Ads make this product look easy but not so much. Cons: Appears tight at first, but things stretch out. They are a wider shoe design in the toes than expected. Costs can always be improved. Maybe join the Skecher Club. The Skechers Slip On-feature is the same as other Skechers shoe models. Nothing different. You almost need to wear thicker socks. I generally wear light to medium gauge socks. Socks make a difference if you are on your feet all day. Also, alternate sneakers each day. These are not dress up sneakers, if you are looking for that, or don't care much about that sort of "men" dress styling thing, then wear them with a suit jacket. Ciao-Happy walking...AF~

The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the padding on the heel wore out pretty quickly- other than that, the most hands down comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
