I was initially concerned that these Skechers Men's Afterburn shoes would be too heavy for gym activities like lifting weights or running. However, once I received them, I was pleasantly surprised. They are sturdy and very well-made, with refined details, yet they are not cumbersome when walking. This makes them solid shoes, even though I haven't tried running in them yet, but it seems that won't be an issue. Despite looking big and wide from the top, they have a sleek and sporty appearance from the side. I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend these shoes due to their fantastic price-to-quality ratio.

Very nice shoes so far.So good, very comfortable.I use them as my work shoes.And i am walking around and stepping on concrete all day and for the past 2 or 3 days.I know it's not much but so far so good it's seems to be working pretty good.It looks like they are holding up

This is my first pair of sketchers, the price was good so I thought I'd give them a try. I have flat feet for reference. These are probably the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned. The memory foam is crazy comfy. However, the sneaker does run a little warm, so that can be a positive or a negative as they aren't vented very much. I would buy again.

Bought these shoes on Feb. 6, 2024, probably arrived as couple of days later and they have lasted a long time. The uppers look almost new, but the soles are showing obvious wear. I wear these shoes only for our daily walks. My wife and I have been walking 5 miles every day since Feb. 14,2019 and yes, we do take vacations but choose to take road trips. People say they walk every day but do people actually walk a dedicated separate walk every day? We have not missed a single day since then. We have walked in single digit wind chill and triple digit feels like temperatures. We have walked in snowfall, been caught in heavy rain and against high winds. We have walked on rough asphalt, gravel roads, shopping mall parking lots, river trails, and park trails. Walked with illness, and injury, but we have never missed a day. As of Oct 21,2024, I have walked in these shoes 257 days.

I’m an 8.5 but need a very wide shoe. This ‘Wide’ Skecher is Perfect and feels like a soft slipper! The heavy duty build quality is impressive and suspect this better priced comfortable hiking shoe will last as long as my costly Merrill's.

I liked the superior traction and stability on dry rough surfaces On those surfaces and on long walks on uneven sidewalks and hiking trails my feet, knees, and hips were appreciative of the good base these shoes provide. Wet or slick surfaces and even sealed concrete presented the problem of these shoes not holding their surface connection. I noticed the lack of grip on interior hard surfaces but I thought a little scuffing of the shoe sole surface on rough concrete would fix that issue. Scuffing did not help and after a few weeks of good long hikes, I still must change out of these shoes if there is any threat of rain, or if I am headed to an area likely to be wet. I was confident in the Skechers name and these are the first Skechers products I have given a mediocre rating.
