These shoes look and feel great. Very seldom do you get a shoe that feels great right out of the box. I am going to order another pair of the exact same shoe so I have a backup pair for next year. Only purchase these shoes if you enjoy the cushy feeling of gel soles. They feel like slippers on your feet. The gel conforms to your feet which gives you full support all along your foot. Just got these today and they fit just right. I normally take a 10 /2 D so ordered the xtra wide 101/2. They have a really rugged heavy sole with gripping ridges. They slip on easily enough when laces are loosened. I wear orthopedic custom insoles and they fit in easily. I can wear them either in or out. I wear thin compression socks but normal socks would be ok. ... show more

Update 3/10/2024 Skechers came through. As stated below, I contacted Skechers via DM on both Instagram and X. They got back to me quickly on both platforms and pointed me to help at Skechers. I jumped through the required hoops, which included shipping them the shoes to evaluate, and they sent me an even better pair, the 2.0 version which I received yesterday. So far so good and hopefully no further updates are needed. ------------------------ Update 2/28/2024) - I was just a few days past the Amazon return date, so I contacted Skechers via Instagram and X and am currently working with them, hopefully getting the shoes replaced. I’ll update again once completed. ———————————————- Original review: I was really liking these for affordable nice comfortable shoes to do everything in but after one month of very light use one of the eyelets for the laces ripped out this morning. Eyelets on shoes need to be really strong since you’re always pulling the laces against them. They need to be super rugged like a zipper in your jeans. The eyelets pulling out, make them useless, and I don’t understand how this made it through a design review since it’s a very big weakness and a huge flaw. Shoelace eyelets need to be super rugged. I was loving them up until now but it’s been over one month and the return possibility on Amazon closed like two days ago ... show more

I bought the same sneakers for the second time. With the first pair I walked and ran ( measured with a pedometer), over 1200 ( one thousand two hundred) km, or about 770 miles, without them deforming too much. The sneakers are very comfortable, firm, the hold, the feet very well, in the beginning they are a little hard, but later they are great. They are even better with an anatomical insert. These shoes are well made and comfortable right out of the box! They're going to last a long time. Nothing fits a D widthfoot like a Sketcher. They going to be great on the trail and at work. A really good buy.

Have them 3 months and wore them every day to only power walk 2 to 3 miles. After about 6 weeks the left foot front behind the pinky toe began to hurt only when I wore these skechers afterburn sneakers and noticed them wearing out on the left side of the sole also. I had another pair of skechers afterburn sneakers that lasted about 5 months and were ok but the soles wore out. Prior to these I wore Nike Monarch wide width and they lasted 6 months but squeaked and while breaking them in I would sometimes get a blister but after break in they stretched and were ok.....but for the price it was not a good sneaker anymore. For this money I expected Skechers to last at least 6 months and not hurt my foot. Size 11W. I got a new pair of AVIA at Walmart for about half the price and they are OK so far. ... show more
