I am a bartender with 15 years of experience, currently working in NYC, i work 4-5 days or nights (or combination thereof) per week, sometimes standing on my feet for 16 hours or more. I have had CHRONIC problems with my feet over the past few years- marble sized knots in the arches of both feet, excruciating to stand on, taking 30 minutes or more to get out of bed in the morning and walking like my feet are bird feet, all curled up at the arches. I was skeptical as hell to try anything like a simple sneaker to fix this. Mind you i have worn 20 eyelet doc martens since i was age 13, and i am now age 34.... so even though the sneaker is CUTE AS HELL and makes my size 10 foot look MUCH smaller than it is.... i was like, "eh, not docs, not my thing but ill give it a shot bc the pain i am experiencing is TOO MUCH". .... so far ive made it through 3 - 12 hour BUSY bar shifts (running around, really hustling, and both bars i work at are very long so i am covering a lot of area while working) - i give these FIVE STARS or MORE if i could. i have NEVER experienced a walk home after a long shift thinking "wow... my feet actually feel... GOOD!!!!" The arch support is wonderful, the scoop in the inner ankle area makes it so you dont have blisters or rubbing on your ankle, there is sufficient padding in the back of the shoe (no blisters on my heels), the sole is VERY good at keeping you from falling on your face (even on wooden slats that i have behind my one bar - milano's bar in nyc, one of the oldest in the city) and they are equally as good on modern rubber mats - allowing movement without sticking your foot in one place to twist your ankle, but giving you a very safe feeling that you will not be slipping even on wet beer or liquor soaked surfaces. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone in the service industry give this sneaker a try, for the price it is worth a shot, even if you arent experiencing horrific foot pain. LOVE THEM. ... show more

I have been buying these shoes for years and have gone through about 5 pairs! I wear an 8 1/2 X-wide which impossible to find anywhere except these shoes. My current pair is worn out and when I went to reorder a month ago I discovered my size is unavailable!! And it still is. PLEASE do not stop making these shoes!!! I literally cannot find any other shoes that accommodate my wide foot so comfortably. I can wear these all day, walking and standing without pain. Please bring back 8 1/2 X-wide!!! ... show more

    • Good quality non slip shoe
I love these shoes, was not certain if the would fit because I wear a wide normally. They feel great and can wear for hours. Plus I know I don't have to worry about slips and falls. They were reasonable also with good quality.

    • Memory foam not the best, but the uppers are really good.

These shoes are very comfortable out of the box. They are not good in snow. The snow packs in the treads and make them slick. After a few months the memory foam insole bunched up under my toes. You can imagine the comfort there. I replaced the insoles because i do like the shoe. On the other hand, the exterior has held up great. They still look new. I’ve been buying these shoes for years and they’re by far the most comfortable, durable shoes I’ve worn for work. I work in a busy kitchen and so I am on my feet continuously for around 8 to 12 hours a day, both speed walking and standing still for long periods. My feet hardly hurt at the end of the day, and they used to with other shoes, but these feel like a dream. Well worth the money in my opinion. Each pair lasts me about 2 years, but that’s normal when you abuse your footwear in an industrial kitchen daily and honestly, lasting up to 2 years is a stretch for most shoes in the industry, so that’s a huge plus. Size is spot on, I’m an 8, bought a size 8, and it fits perfectly. Picture is of my last pair, 2 years old next to the pair I just got. Hope this helps! ... show more

The shoe is fine it’s comfortable, but I’m just trying to figure out why in the world they would make the insole shorter than the actual shoes so it feels like your sock is twisted?
