  • Poor Quality and Poor Customer Service
I ordered a pair of these roller skates for my girlfriend's birthday recently. I ordered the skates a few weeks early and the sizing chart provided by this seller is not accurate. When my girlfriend let me know the size was wrong (they run small) I reached out to the seller to request return. They had not been used and were just the wrong size, but they refused to accept the return as it was 2 days past their "deadline" to return. Customer Care is unwilling to assist even with the provided context. If you ask for your request to be escalated, they will refuse to escalate and tell you "they spoke with their supervisor" but will not allow you to speak with anyone else. In addition to the poor service and incorrect size guide, the quality of the skates is not worth the price. The wheels on the skates are very slow and tight and they feel cheap. I was able to get a different pair of skates that fit true to size and are much better quality. I recommend looking elsewhere before you lose your money on these skates. ... show more

  • Let Me Be Honest for a Second
Color: Ankle Support Purple Size: Women's 8 / Men's 7
If you want a product that looks sort of like a skate, this is the one for you. You definitely get what you pay for with these skates. I’m a beginner skater and in less than a week I have already grown beyond what these skates are capable of. There are some key points I want to mention about these skates so you can make a more informed decision on whether or not to buy these. I think these skates are decently good at a couple of things but only a couple. If you are a complete beginner who has never stood in a pair of skates, these might be great because you don’t have to spend much money to get that experience. If you largely skate in a straight line these also might be great for you. I made the mistake of buying these after having already done my foundational work in a too small pair of Moxi Lolly’s. They don’t compare. Even the ill-fitting Moxi’s were more enjoyable than these. There’s such a big difference between these and real skates that it’s honestly like trying to compare a toy car to a real car. They just aren’t even in the same category. Some major trouble I have had with these cheaper skates is the way they are built. The first thing I did when I got them was take those horrible wheels off and I put a larger outdoor wheel on them. Well, these skates don’t really work with that type of wheel. The posts on the trucks aren’t long enough to really secure the nut down and within 5 minutes of skating, I lost a wheel. I had to use serviceable locktite to keep my dang wheels on the trucks. Between the cost of the skates, the wheels and the locktite, I’ve spent $90. That’s about half the cost of a pair of Sure-Grip Boardwalk skates that are much better quality. Because these skates aren’t made for larger wheels I also have had issues with the plate hardware scraping the wheels, which causes me to hang up and trip. The inner edges of my gummy wheels are a straight edge and the corner has been sheered off due to the scrubbing. It just doesn’t work. And I don’t have to lean very far for there to be contact and friction. I skate outdoors almost exclusively so I have to have a skate that has great wheel clearance and can roll freely with standard outdoor wheels. These can’t do that. The support these skates offer is pretty good but a little overkill in the ankle area. Again, it’s probably great for straight line skating but if you want to bend and lean, the stiffness of the boot might cause problems. I have particularly boney ankles and I am quite sore after wearing these for a few skate sessions. So my non-professional opinion is this: they are fine for absolute beginners on a budget and people who don’t want to skate a whole lot. In the world of cheap beginner skates I still think there are better options. If you want to skate daily and do fancy footwork or dance skating, just get some Moxi’s. I know they are expensive but again, we are trying to compare a toy to a real skate. Trust me when I say I am the world’s worst about turning my nose up to a price tag or trying to find a cheaper alternative that is comparable to the expensive stuff because I don’t like to spend money. Like it literally makes me feel sick to spend a lot of money on anything. I get it. After buying these skates I had to be honest with myself and stop trying to find a substitute for what I really wanted. Skates absolutely are one of those things where you get what you pay for! I have since bit the bullet and ordered a pair of Moxi Lolly skates and I can’t wait to get back into a great quality skate after wearing these. ... show more

  • Great starter.. but cheap..
Color: Classic White Size: Women's 7 / Youth 6 / Men's 6
Listen, these are awesome for starters trying to decide if you want to get into skating. But you get what you pay for here. The bearings could be smoother and the boot could be more comfortable but all in all for the price, these are nice.

  • Cute! No speed. No sole padding.
Color: Ankle Support Purple Size: Women's 8 / Men's 7
Cute skates, but they don’t roll very well. I will be putting new ball bearings on them. There is no sole padding, which may be okay for a young person. I put in my own padding.

  • They work on sidewalks and asphalt.
I read so many reviews of outdoor/indoor skates that my head was spinning. I wanted to find a pair of skates that would work on the common outdoor surfaces. Most people were using them indoors or on very smooth pavement at skate parks. I am cheap and I want to use them on the roads/sidewalks in my neighborhood that are "free". After much searching, I decided to order these due to the review video that showed them being used outside on traditional sidewalks and because they were one of the few that was true Prime delivery. When they arrived I was happy that at 52, I could still skate a little without falling down. However, what I remembered from childhood, the smooth, swish, swish of my skates was not what was happening. These skates would hardly roll and I was working harder than I remember to move forward. After going around the block in them, half-mile, and reading more about skates, I decided that the answer to the problem was new wheels. However, the wheels cost more than the skates. So, I searched Amazon more and finally found the perfect pair. I set up the return of these and ordered the new pair. A few hours later, I realized the "new" pair was just another pair of these. Well, I had to admit, if these skates were so perfect in the description, how come they were not perfect in reality? So, back to the internet, I went. I found out that I needed to loosen the wheels! When I sat down and just used my finger to spin each wheel, most of them were tight but ALL were tightened differently. So, there was my explanation of why these were so perfect in the description but were not when I used them. The wheels were not spinning and the few that did could not do it alone. So, I grabbed a wrench. Tighten them all down the same and then, proceeded to loosen them all to the point that when I counted to 1008, the wheel was still spinning a little. Now, these skates are actually moving me and I am enjoying the experience. I did not give them 5 stars because even though they are great, I would have liked a bit more cushion on the tongue and that it came all the way to the top. I cannot strap the stake in the last clasp because the tongue will cut into my leg. A bit of cushioning would help a lot. The same for the insert, more cushioning would be better. However, these skates deserve 4 stars because they are absolutely great outdoors if you take the time to check the wheels when you receive them and then adjust so that they are all rolling freely. ... show more
