Well,, I've been getting a good education on security cameras! Here's what I've learned, hopefully it will save some folks some aggravation. **Not all cameras will connect to a cloud. Some only to a specific cloud. I haven't found a "free" cloud that works with any brand camera. **Check that your camera choice is 2.4 or 5g. The nation is phasing out 2.4g so do not buy one that works on 2G only. **Go for solar powered wireless cameras. Read up on some different brands of security cameras, help detailed notes of there specs. I did purchase a two cameras system of this auos . It was very simple to set up, I literally did it on my kitchen table and installed the two cameras the next day. They sinc up to the home base fast and ez! I decided I wanted to add one camera to it. So I purchased a single camera. Same brand but I did not notice that was 2G only. I've sent that back and I'm getting ready to order another that is 2.4 g or 5G. I originally started with ReoLink,,, bad choice, very hard to set up program and there are many options that you can utilize. But for someone that's not computer savvy, it's near impossible to figure out. Also, one of the Rio link cameras died on me 2 months into use. I'm currently in the process of attempting to return the whole system, however it looks like I'm going to wind up eating it! Oh well. Live and learn.

I was looking for a discreet, compact, outdoor security camera to supplement my existing security camera setup that wouldn’t need to be plugged into a power outlet; but instead could be powered by the sun. I was looking for the cleanest, most simplest install I could find—one that didn’t require me to run another long Ethernet cable (I have two 4K POE “Power Over Ethernet” cameras already running which do not have WiFi capability)—in other words, I wanted to go totally WIRE-FREE for this install. I planned on putting this camera at the far-end of my home to cover my backyard patio door. It also needed to have decent picture quality, a micro-SD slot for memory, the ability to withstand outside elements, AND not cost me an arm and a leg (or any other body part.) A pretty big list of demands, I know! So I was not really expecting to find anything close to what I wanted while being cost-effective. But, lo-and-behold, the camera gods have answered my prayers! And thus, I happened across this wonderful little camera that had everything I was looking for, and more! First what blew me away was the price. For just under $40, you get this awesome little outdoor camera that’s packed tight with lots of features. Second, it comes with its own little solar panel, all the mounting hardware, and a usb-c charging cord. This camera’s design is also much more aesthetically appealing than a lot of the other options I was considering which was great! Even the solar panel is well-designed, and is not an ugly eye sore. The picture quality is not incredibly detailed but it’s not horrible, it’s actually pretty decent for 2K. I’ve included a screenshot so you can decide for yourself. I’ve seen worse picture quality in higher priced cameras though to be honest! Setup was very simple, and the WiFi connection is still stable at a far distance from my router. The WiFi connection strength in the app shows 96% signal strength, even though my router is located far inside near the opposite end of the house with multiple walls and obstructions, etc. Of course it helps to have a strong performing router, so your numbers might vary here. But I was still very impressed with the quality of the signal and the camera’s ability to maintain a solid connection, which is critical for being able to capture events and such. The solar panel also comes with its own mounting hardware. I was also equally impressed by its power output; once you have it correctly installed and facing the sun in the right direction, plug this into the camera and you’ll never need to worry about it losing power. Set it and forget it! Now of course this camera is not as powerful as say the 4K POE cameras I have installed at the front of my house, which come with many more high-performance features and the high resolution needed to read license plates and all that. But for under $40 you can’t go wrong. If you’re looking to supplement an existing setup, this is a great option to mix with your better performing cameras for areas on your property that require an extra pair of eyes, and all you have to do is “set it and forget it.” It’s also a great camera for anyone looking for a low cost option, but still wants a decent picture quality and extra features. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

I have no complaints with my Aosu 2K Wireless Solar Security Camera with Outdoor Solar Panel. I love everything about this camera. The picture quality and the price just can't be beat. There are so many features that this camera offers they are two much to mention. It surpasses other cameras that I researched and have no subscription fees of any kind. 1) The camera has a light that illuminates in seriously dark areas that helps to see a subject when detecting movement. 2) I can't state enough about the camera quality and what images look like in the app. 3) Pre-recorded voice tones instead of your voice can be used to speak with someone. 3) Wireless connectivity is strong 4.) The camera supports a max 128gb microSD card. I installed a 128gb storage card into the camera to store videos until I can sign-up for the cloud storage. If you purchase the camera you can use either storage, cloud, or both. 5) You can set zones to only get notifications for a specific area. 6) The app is super easy to use and is super user friendly. 7) Notifications can be snoozed for up to 4 hours in the event you don't want constant notifications to your phone. Alarms will still be recorded, but the notifications won't appear on your phone. I can add more, but I say purchase this camera and you won't regret it. I have the Aosu wireless video doorbell and love it as well. Both were an excellent buy at a great price and I am super happy I purchased both. Take my advice and buy them! You won't be disappointed. An Aosu Happy Customer!

Added this to the collection to help have peace of mind with our backyard pool. While we keep a pretty good eye on our little ones. It’s alway good to have a 24/7 eye on our backyard in case anything goes off. It take a while to get it connected since we have google fiber but it connected after a few work arounds.

I am so pleased with the AOSU products of security cameras and doorbells. After struggling with other brands, this one is SO easy to install and connect. The quality of the images is great. You can subscribe to one of their plans to store data but it’s reasonable. Plus the cameras can detect only humans or sound an alarm if you want. I don’t often write reviews but I had to for this product.
