This gaiter is one of the warmest things I own! The fleece inside is plush and very soft to prevent irritation against your skin, but the best part (in my opinion) is that it completely stops the wind. Nothing will make me stop hunting or fishing faster than getting chilled because of a cold wind hitting my neck. I will be using this for those extra cold days waterfowl hunting. I dont normally look at SITKA gear due to their price tag, but the patter and color were the closest to my waders and coat from Gator Waders. They dont offer a gator. So I spent the $50 on this. I have a fairly large head and this is a little tight getting it over my nose but nothing I am not used to with any gaiter. The outside material seems water resistant and the inside is soft and warm.
