I use this almost every day. IT MAKES A GREAT OMELET WITH LITTLE CLEANUP. two EGGS ,reconstituted mixed dried veggies,cheese a splash of milk,a slice of precooke bacon or sausage. Pros: This egg cooker cooks 1 or 2 eggs quickly. I put a little EVEO and butter in the cooker then add a couple eggs. Microwave for about 50 seconds then empty to cooker over rice or toast. I bought 2 more for my sisters. Cons: None. Caution: The first time I used it, I thought I had to melt the butter before I added the eggs. Don’t do that. The oil/butter mix by itself gets too hot for the plastic. My little cooker has a rough surface from boiled oil. Still works. ... show more

Would give it a 4 star for an “omelette” but 2 star for a poached egg. The dish is a too large for a single poached egg, it spreads out into a thin layer then overcooks. Recommended time for a poached egg is 30 seconds-I did 20 seconds and it still came out hard. There was no runny yolk at all. Love Sistema products but this one is disappointing. ... show more

The perfect egg sandwich. This little gadget is so cool I had to do a review. Making a perfect egg sandwich. Take an egg out of refrigerator, put it in a small bowl with warm water to warm up the egg to room temperature. Throw some bread in the toaster and toast it. Now after about 5 minutes, dump the water out of small bowl, crack egg in it and give it a mix. Now I put about 3 drops of cooking oil in the bottom of the egg cooker, take paper towels and coat the bottom with the cooking oil. Pour the egg in the cooker, put in microwave, cook 30 seconds. Let it stand about 1 minute. Now cook again about 30 seconds more, perfect cooked egg. Get the toast, a little mayo on both pieces, add the egg, a little pepper. Now you got your perfect egg sandwich. Very little clean up. ... show more

After reading reviews for several related products I opted for this one. I highly recommend it! It cooks well. I like the yokes completely cooked and have found that a little swirl with a fork to break the yoke helps get a full cook. For a runny yolk don’t break it before cooking. I also find a quick shot of cooking spray before adding the egg is helpful at getting the egg out easily although it is not required. The cooked egg is perfect for an English muffin.
