They compact shirts into a smaller space if you have the room underneath for the shirt tails to hang. The hangers are well built and sturdy, along the being easy to convert from six to nine shirts per hanger, which, again, is more space saving if you have the vertical space.

    • Love Them But There's an Architectural Problem

I love these; I've ordered them twice. They are sturdy whether they are periscoped out or not. I have to admit that I am picky. So, unless I am making a mistake, there is one small defect that bothers me. The nice finished side, shiny and no sign of the screw to expand the hanger can only be front facing if you hang the end hanger from back to front. While this may seem petty, it's not if you have a lot of weight like winter coats on one hanger. if you want the shiny finished side to show you have to hang it in such a way as to make the process of hanging it out straight a physical chore. You have to reach behind to hang the bottom hanger from the inside instead of slipping it on to the front of your hanger pole. That said, if you're not OCD and don't care if the less finished side is on the outside, then you should give it a 5-star rating. After all, if someone is going through your closet you probably have bigger problems. LOL ... show more

I really needed these to hang up all my shirts in my small closet. I like the mines that hold more shirts although the closet pole has to be high enough so the bottom shirts have room to hang freely.

After organizing pants and shirts on these, I thought to hang coats on one, thinking it’s metal and could hold. Coats like a leather jacket, a wool coat. Nope. One sideways move and the whole thing bent. Luckily I was able to straighten it functional again. The metal is shiny on both sides; read someone’s OCD review saying otherwise. The middle section where you place your hangers is sturdy to the point of being too heavy. Unfortunately, the hook for the closet pole is attached in such a way that one of them actually broke off.
