Bought this for my 3 year old who loves to destroy drones this one has surprisingly lasted over the last 5. This drone is easy to fly and very easy to understand. Although my 3-year-old isn't the best at flying the drone he quickly figured out how to use it and crashes less now. The camera on the drone is decent, you won't be getting some amazing quality but it works for the price point and the drone feels well built. Overall I would recommend getting this drone as a basic drone for some kids or adults who wanna take a leap in learning how to fly a drone without having to pay hundreds of dollars.     • Great starter drone
The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying that I am a licensed pilot and flying a drone is nothing like flying an airplane. That said I found this easy to fly and fun too. Here in New England the weather is not really great for flying outdoors so the video I posted was taken in my living room and kitchen. The space is not huge and so careful navigation is required and this is easy to do with the remote control. I also tried the Android app for controlling the drone I found that less easy to use. The app is required to capture video and pictures, but you can still use the remote control to do the flying. Battery life is about 5 minutes depending upon how much you vary the speed how much you go up and down. For the record, I crashed into quite a few things when I was learning and nothing was damaged not on the airplane and not among my possessions so I count that as a positive. I am grateful that my cat is deaf as this does make a bit of noise but nothing out of the ordinary. Certainly less than a vacuum cleaner. If you choose this is your first drone I think you will be happy. I haven't looked but it you have an opportunity to buy second battery and that might be nice. Happy flying! ... show more

This is good gift for a teenager or maybe someone who might want to get into drones without spending hundreds of dollars. For $30-$50, I'd say it's worth it but you get what you pay for and there is no fair comparison to the higher dollar ones. That being said, it's fun to fly. The flight time is ok for the size of it.     • Not what I was hoping, pretty disappointed, AND WATCH OUT FOR THE BATTERY LIFE!
It looks like it should, but it's just not a great product. first flight was ok, though it seemed to have some issues with the phone, and kept losing it's calibration. i was planning to focus on getting better at flying with the controller, and worry about the camera later. That's where the problem started. The battery lasted ABOUT 7 MINUTES, shocking when compared to the tiny holy stone drone which is averaging about 15min (granted, it has no camera, but it does have a constant LED, so I think it's comparable). Worse is the recharge time, which was well over an hour. Additional batteries ARE NOT available on amazon, or anywhere else from what I can find, and since the power button for the drone is part of the battery, there is little to no chance of 3rd party batteries. The batteries are listed on the Simrex website for a staggering $99, close to twice the price of the drone. After one more attempt at flight where the drone just smashed itself to the right despite all controller input, this piece of junk was returned. Save your money and get a proper drone. ... show more

This is a great drone at an entry level price for kids to get trained on. Has all the required functions on the app. Slightly lower battery life but is comparable with all its peers

Sadly I didn't find it to be very user friendly. I was very hopeful when I received the drone and I thought forward beginner. It would be pretty easy to set up and use. I didn't care for the software And I guess it does price. You can't really expect stabilization. So the wind doesn't take it all over the place. It seems like one might have to spend a little more money to get a drone. That's easier to use for beginners. ... show more
