Think it should be standard when reviewing furniture to describe the material. So to that end this piece is made of solid wood and wood veneers. Well made and the assembly isn't difficult if you are at all handy. The cabinet doors fit perfectly and the drawers glide easily in and out. Looks great, very sturdy, but you really need two people for assembly to make sure you get the doors hung straight. I assembled this myself and really struggled to hang the doors without someone holding them. There are a couple of gaps in the drawers once assembled and in place, so that's why I gave it 4 stars. ... show more

Overall the product is very nice looking assembled, and being solid wood construction I feel more confident in the longevity versus the MDF alternatives. It has plenty of storage for wine/bar related items and was surprisingly easy to assemble when using a drill for certain steps. Now for the cons - this product is nowhere near the gray depicted in the product pictures. And reading through other reviews of various color options, it appears none of the color offerings are remotely close to the product listings. Farmhouse Gray is entirely brown, no hint of gray whatsoever. The product also has a very strong odor that takes a while to dissipate. I also question the durability of the stain/paint used, which had some flaws from the factory (masked with what appears to be black sharpie and surprisingly doesn't look bad against the dark brown). The finish also chipped fairly easily during assembly of certain areas of the wood which were flat with no textured finish like on the top. I imagine a store bought stain could closely match this, or the product could be entirely refinished down the line if need be. ... show more

Absolutely love this piece! It arrived sooner than expected, well packed, all pieces were clearly labeled and there was even a packet of extra hardware! I spent about 3 weeks deciding if I wanted to take the chance in buying it since I had read all the reviews and they were very mixed, but I'm so glad I did!! It went together very easily, took about an hour but I would recommend putting the back on last otherwise you will have some difficulty putting on the magnets for the doors. It fits my space perfectly, not too big, and it matches my walnut table almost perfectly! I use it as a liquor cabinet and it's fabulous! The drawers are not long enough to really use it as a buffet, but I can live with that. It really is a beautiful piece of furniture, and not compressed wood product. I did not put the back on the wine rack and it looks really nice like that. Love it! ... show more

Definitely just what I was looking for. Very sturdy real solid wood. However it did take two people almost 5 hours to put it together but it was well worth it. The instructions were at least easy to follow for the most part.

Color does not look anything like the picture. It states farmhouse grey. This isn't even a shade of grey, it is a very clear brown. Color resembles milk chocolate. Very disappointing. Actual color in attachment.

I have assembled a lot of DIY furniture over the years, and this has to go down as one of the easiest ever! The instructions are clear and concise--I was never confused about what to do next. By myself, I assembled it in about 90 minutes (using a drill with an allen bit to speed things along). It's attractive, everything fits together well--no crooked doors or drawers. My only beef is it showed up with a significant dent in the top center (of course!) and a smaller dent in the bottom rail center that I didn't notice until I'd already unboxed the whole thing. You pretty much have to destroy the packaging in the unboxing process, so there was no sending it back (plus, it's heavy--I don't even know how I would go about trying to return). I have a plan to repair and re-paint the top, which is possible since it's solid wood, but still. What a bummer. Overall, though, I'm very happy with it. The cabinet portion is large enough to store my 8-quart InstantPot, several Le Creusets, and various kitchen items that didn't have a home. Many options for the shelf placement heights. Drawers hold placemats and napkins well, and the extra wine storage is a bonus. I'd buy again. ... show more
