This backpack is the perfect size for my 4.5 year old who started Pre-K this August. She loves the underwater theme and the material is nice. The straps are comfortable to her and the zippers have been working quite well so far. I am writing this review a little too early! It has only been 2 weeks of school, and the bag is doing fine - holding up well. But then again - just 2 weeks! Hope I remember to come back and update it if it falls apart. This is for a first grade girl, in NYC school system. It is large enough to fit everything she needs for school. The bag holds its shape and doesn't slump down in a heap (which is always my personal pet peeve, don't think my daughter cares). She's also an Avengers fan, so it worked out well. The colors and print are exactly as shown in the picture - and I think it looks very pretty. Straps are comfortable, daughter loves the sternum strap, though she has loosened it to a point where it is not useful, but her bag isn't that heavy to warrant it (they don't need to carry the chromebooks back and forth). I bought two different designs of this backpack for my twin 3 year olds. It is large for three year olds but they needed full size backpacks for preschool. The quality feels so much better than the ones that I have purchased in Walmart in the past. My kids love the designs. This would be great for an elementary student. This has been working so well for my child’s school bag. I like the design, placement and variation of the pockets. The material is soft but sturdy. It is easy to adjust the straps. The Spidey image is vibrant and a great size. My only issue is that ours came with a twisted top strap as in it was sewn twisted. It can still be used and doesn’t impact the function. It just bothers me that I can’t get it straight. No other issues! We have one in a different design and the handle isn’t twisted so this must be a fluke. ... show more
