I'm a fashion designer. I have seen all the garment racks in the land. I chose to spend an extra $10 on this one hoping that, as the reviews said, this one would be sturdier. I needed it for just one day- for a sample sale. It came broken (a piece that had been soldered/welded in place had literally fallen off into the box). This rendered one of the extension tubes unusable. The whole rack shook before a single item of clothing was placed on it. I was so embarrassed about the shakiness I ended up borrowing a rack from my seamstress rather than using this one ! I can't return it because I threw away the box it came in since it was only really meant to be used for one day. Trust me, the other reviews are fake - or they have very low standards. I didn't test out how much weight it could handle- but it was very shaky, so it's definitely not sturdy.

I read many reviews on this product before ordering 2 of them. Several people said it was super sturdy but I think that’s a bit of a stretch. I have a more costly version of a rack similar to this but I paid about $40 for it I do recommend this product and for certain usage. I use it for light clothing like shirts and pants. It’s too light for heavy coats and probably too low for long gowns. It is very easy to assemble. All tools are supplied and you can put it together in under 15 minutes. Unlike many items today, the directions are accurate and easy to use. At this price you’d be hard pressed to buy better.

At first I thought I had overpaid for this rack once I pulled it out the box and saw how small it was. I was replacing my plastic one for this one, since I have a lot of clothes on the rack and the plastic one won't stand up straight. Once assembled and my clothes placed on the rack I was happy again. This rack is sturdy! And the extended arms help with the overall width of the rack. Very happy with my purchase.

Was skeptical because of some of the reviews, but listen, it's a good buy! It wasn't hard to put together. They give you everything you need. I don't feel like it's cheaply made at all. I haven't had any problems. It holds a good amount of weight (had more clothes on it before picture, including jeans). It has a rack (3 pair of shoes fit as pictured, but can maybe squeeze four) & extends for more clothes. Can't complain honestly. Gonna buy some more~

We needed a rack to hang clothes while we do laundry since our new laundry room did not have one. This works great. However, it isn’t very sturdy. It’s great for my purpose but isn’t something I’d use to hang a lot of clothes on long term. I have to balance the laundry on either side or it’ll fall over.
