Yeah, you want a water shoe that fits your ankle tight. This one does that! I would buy this brand again! Not sure what brand my originals were, but they were not tight around my ankle! That allowed the pebbles into my shoe when in river current.

I was surprised to not see any size 6s. I'm a size 6.5 in women's. Very rarely a 7. Usually in hiking boots I'll size to a 7. Anyway, I went for the 5.5 because these are water shoes and I'd be wearing them without socks. They fit with some room to spare so I tightened the strings to make a perfect fit. But not sure how they will hold up in water with the slight extra room. I might return fir even the 4.5. I would say I'm on the wider foot end of the spectrum. The only complaint is the rough material in the inner foot bed. I'm guessing it's for traction so you do not slip but it's an odd feeling and slightly uncomfortable. Other than that, I like them. 👍
