For ref: my waist 30-31” / 38” hips. I typically wear a size 8 petite in jeans (AE, Old Navy, Amazon Essentials) I ordered a size 8 (short) straight leg and a size 10 (short) to compare the fit. Size 10 fit around the waist with a lot of give due to the stretchy denim material. The inseam for this size jean was way too long (30”inch inseam) for my short legs. The overall fit around the hips and thighs was too roomy and I could tell that this jean would stretch out too much throughout the day. So I’m returning the size 10 short. Size 8 (short) FIT PERFECTLY, the inseam at 28 inches was the perfect length for my legs. Btw: the sizing inside the pant says the jeans is a 29/30. I measured the inseam and it is 28” not 30”. The waist fit perfectly too. The rise falls at 10” right at my belly button. I would have preferred a high-rise but I didn’t realize at the time I ordered these jeans that they were a mid-rise pant. I recently picked up a pair of Levi Strauss Signature Gold Women's Straight Jeans, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. Right out of the package, they felt soft and comfortable, which is always a plus. I love the straight cut—it's such a versatile style that works well for both casual outings and more dressed-up occasions. The fit was spot on for me; they hug just enough in the right places without being too tight. I also appreciate that they have a bit of stretch, which makes moving around a breeze. I can bend, sit, and walk without feeling restricted, which is so important in everyday wear. One of my favorite features is the classic wash. It’s a nice shade that goes with pretty much anything in my wardrobe. Plus, they haven’t lost their shape after a few washes, which is a real bonus. I can certainly understand that these jeans have wide appeal for their super-stretchy denim and midrise. And, they did look pretty good even on my elderly front and side view. Haven’t worn jeans in years and decided to try these out as in the past I’d typically wear this brand. Originally ordered a 26 long and they were way too long by about 3 inches (I’m 5’8) and didn’t hug my hips the way I like, a little too loose in the thighs they just wouldn’t stay up without a belt. Ordered a new pair in 24 regular and the fit was pretty close to perfect 👌 Hugged my hips a bit more, better length and they still touched the top of my foot and down to the bottom of my heel. After an afternoon of walking around I didn’t have to pull them up they stayed comfortably just below my waist line. Fantastic stretch, material isn’t too thin or too thick. Good pockets and flattering on the tummy without cutting into my waist. Comfy on thick thighs and don’t narrow in too much at the knees, I like that! Thought about going another size down as I would typically wear jeans in the past that were more of a skinny jean, might just try a different additional style because these were pretty comfortable. I like these jeans they are very comfortable and not too narrow or too wide in the bottoms. The sizing is strange though. I bought size 14 recently, which were so big on me that I thought I was losing weight! Lol, nope. The size 14 was bigger than my size 16s from years ago. The 14 was waaaay bigger than the size 12. Let me explain my issue because some of you might understand. I had a baby this year. All of my weight has always been in the middle but now it is a lot more. These are stretchy but I feel like the waist could be stretchier. The are a good rise. They are not thin but thin enough that you can see any rolls through the material so if you have a fupa it will somewhat control it but also put a little spotlight on it. It is tricky buying jeans cause you want stretch but you want the firmness to hid any rolls. Just being honest. They are very soft and the price is basically a sale price all the time. These fit well and are very comfortable. They seem a little lighter than my other Levi’s, making them ideal for warmer weather. I’ve washed them twice and they look good and retain their shape well.
