I've debated a bit on the rating for this. On one hand, it looks really good as an overall piece, but there are a number of issues that keep me from rating it any higher. I feel this is more of $60-70 price range item, rather than around $100. A number of other reviewers had really good points. Pros: 1) It does look really good and is definitely a step above any medieval costumes that I've come across in stores. It is as pictured and some of the other reviewers do a great job of showing it. 2) I'm 5'8", ≈155lbs and the medium fit perfectly (except the gloves) Cons: 1) No one else mentioned this in reviews that I read, but it stinks...really bad. It was overwhelming when opening the package and after 3 days of hanging outside it still had a horrible odor. Two separate days of febreezing it and leaving it hanging outside and it still has a smell. It faded a little, but its still there. At least at this point I'll be able to wear it without being nauseated with the smell. I'll stress again, it REALLY smells. This alone almost makes me want to give it a 1 star review. 2) The gloves. I can't imagine how anyone fits into these comfortably. While I do have longer fingers and narrow hands, the finger length on these appears to be for children. I typically wear a large men's glove though some mediums gloves fit decently. Finger length on these isn't even comparable to a men's small. They're sad. 3) The belt is cheap...really cheap. It looks good, but if you actually plan on using it or hanging anything on it, think again and buy something else to use. Overall, it's a great looking costume and the fit was perfect, it just has some issues that make me feel I overpaid and keep it from being a really great purchase. ... show more

I was excited to see how this outfit turned out after reading all of the great reviews, but unfortunately it ran a little larger than expected and was missing pieces. We could have overcome the size issue if it came with the belt or straps, but we decided to return it rather than trying to find last minute pieces. Would definitely recommend purchasing this way in advance to avoid the same issues we did! ... show more

Costume seems well constructed but I read other reviews that said to order 1 size larger....which I do for costumes in general...Glad I did because the fit is perfect. Belt is a little cheap and definitely would not support the weight of real swords and daggers so I will replace it with real leather. Overall the costume looks amazing and fits well so I am happy with the purchase. It will be a little hot given the layers and especially the pleather shirt so beware. Totally awesome. Yeah the leather straps are a little flimsy but could be reinforced. The smell is pretty bad too, but a little febreeze helps. Overall its awesome. Defenitly recommend if youre a fan and or want a ren fair outfit. Cant wait to personalize it a little!

Using it for Halloween. Jon snow. It has more detail than the other costumes I looked at. More true to jon’s Outfit. Still looks kinda fake since the leather is so shiny. Compared to the picture... doesn’t have the same texture I thought we were getting. The picture almost looks like hide or suede . It’s pleather. The cape is neat that it has actual spots for the shoulders, so the cape doesn’t fall back... at least we hope it doesn’t. In the picture we didn’t have on the crossing straps. The overall fit is amazing. I purchased men's instead of women's because for whatever reason the women's did not have prime shipping in my size. I bought XL in men's and it fit great! The faux leather looks good and the material is perfect for a cool night. What I didn't like was that the fur on the cloak is not attached completely and flops up when bending over or adjusting the cloak itself. However, that can easily fixed with some safety pins or tacking so I did not deduct any stars for that. My biggest fault would be on the gloves. Specifically, the thumbs because they run smaller than average sized thumbs but the fingers are the perfect size. Overall, a great purchase and I would recommend but you definitely have to know your measurements. ... show more
