The media could not be loaded. I needed to mount a security light on my garage and have used these in the past. I was able to buy them at my local Menards in the past but they no longer carry them so I turned to Amazon. This product was clutch as I previously had an old piece of wood and metal electrical box. The description mentioned that this mounting block is thick and solid ABS plastic, and I agree that the quality is good. I feel comfortable it will hold up for a long time. I've had similar items in the past, and they've all be made from a matte finish, 'softer' plastic. This is very shiny and very hard plastic. I hop it holds up to our cold winters and hot summers!

I purchased these to add to the base of my new light fixtures. My electrician is a friend of my husband's. The blocks did not fit snugly to the aluminum siding on my house. They had to take the blocks back to my husband's workshop & grind them down to fit.
