The mounting block is sturdy and able to hold my flood light. Mounted to vinyl siding. Was able to use with my 6.5 inch siding. It is made for a 3 inch lap. Will need to caulk top as there is a small gap due to my using it on a 6.5 inch lap.

The speed at which I was able to install this light by using this block was amazing. No cutting out for a box. Self aligns to the lap of the siding. Drilled one 1/2” hole for the power. Use the supplied cable strain relief and then two supplied screws to bolt it to the siding. Screws were plenty long to go through siding to the plywood underneath. ... show more

This mount is great for installing on any existing vinyl siding. This fit the siding well with only a thin gap that I used to caulking for which your suppose to use to make sure it's water tight. It is sturdy and allows the light to be square to the house using the box built in the mount to store the wires and create a sturdy mount. Highly recommend this product. ... show more
