No wire box needed. It's part of this item. Easy install with wires from house or garage fed into the mounting block. Regular exterior paint sticks to it fine.Not big enough for multiple wire connections like a junction box, but outside lights usually don't have many wires to them.

It Fit great with the camera, however my siding spacing was different then what was cut for the mounting block but I made it work and filled in the space so that no insects would make their home. If I wasn't limited on time I might have tried another type but this looked and matched great and gives a professional appearance to the fixtures. ... show more
