  • Easy to useFast and easy to install this octagon siding mounting kit. Run wires through center punch hole. Safer to have your wires in a box. There is a weep hole on the bottom that needs to be left open to allow any water that does deep in behind the block to escape.
  • Size DetailsSize 4 Inch Diameter X 6.61 Inch Width X 0.5 Inch Depth X 6.61 Inch Height. For 1/2" lap siding. Please check the size data in the picture. If you find that your vinyl siding is not suitable, it doesn't matter. You can placed some caulking and then painted the blocks and molding. You will need to caulk around the top of the box to prevent water from infiltrating the electrical box.
  • Applicable TypesSiding mounting block allows mounting light fixtures on all siding types including T-111, HardiePlank lap siding, and flat surfaces. The built-in electrical box design makes it very easy to install.

I bought these mounting blocks, because I'm replacing two outdoor fixtures. I had looked at other mounting blocks, and my main concern was for the "notch" to fit correctly with the vinyl siding on my house. These fit perfectly. Man I like this block a lot and I am really frustrated it didn't work. I checked everything I could think if and in the end the wires didn't line right up with the hole, resulting in no way to mount it flush as designed. I had to go buy one that is held off the siding as the wires go behind instead of inside. ... show more

This is very expensive for a small plastic base that anchors a wall light against the wall siding. Not a lot of alternative and the reason you have to pay the price they command. Highway robbery to me.

Installed a camera spotlight in minutes with the siding mounting block. This product makes the installation a snap. Choose one of three holes for wire, remove chosen punch out, mark screw holes and mark chosen wire hole. Pre-drill all three holes, attach and pull wire.
