Now that I’m long retired from racing I hesitated to spend the money, but have no reservations or regrets that I did. The latest model of the Sidi Genius is an excellent shoe. Sidi is a great and storied brand and I have owned earlier versions of the Genius before. But this is by far the most comfortable performance biking shoe I have owned. I suspect that has a lot to do with fit. The 42.5 (8 1/2) fit me like a glove with some welcome wiggle room in the toe box. I was new to the Double Techno-3 Push cable lacing mechanism. It does take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, there is no going back. The micro-adjusting is really nice. I use these shoes with Look Delta cleats on Look PP-396 pedals, which I swear by. The whole set up provides a very high level of performance and comfort. I buy new biking shoes roughly every 10 years. The Sidi Genius 10 are so worthy of the investment. I expect to get great use of them. ... show more

    • The soul thickness.
The soul is way too thin . Once you r done screwing your cleats. You will feel the edges of the screws while you are pedaling! Not good . Other than that it’s a pretty good cycling shoe.

    • Worth the squeeze!
I have big feet and it's tough to find good bike shoes. These are incredibly comfortable and well worth the price. If you're a size 14 (U.S.) with a fairly low arch these are the bomb. Put another 67 miles on them yesterday.

    • Fantastic shoes
These shoes were my first pair of Sidi's, although years ago I almost bought a pair of Dominators (their MTB shoe). I was very impressed with the quality of the shoe. The upper material, while not leather, is supple and forms well to your foot shape, thanks in part to the fantastic 2-zone adjustability. Some reviewers claim the Sidi adjusting mechanism is inferior to the BOA system. I have never had a cycling shoe equipped with BOA, so this wasn't a issue for me. I found the Techno-3 adjuster dials relatively easy to get used to, and was even able to adjust them mid-ride when necessary (not recommended for inexperienced riders). I was very pleased with the seperate micro-adjustability of the forefoot and instep areas, and the additional adjustability for the length of the instep strap. For me, this makes for a great fit. The sole is not quite as stiff as the 100% carbon fiber soles of my old Giro shoes, but they seem to be plenty rigid for my non-racing cycling needs. Ultimate!y, I had to return this and another pair as they were the wrong size, but I did find the right size and after about 100 miles of riding, I am very happy with my Sidi Genius 10 shoes. ... show more
