I normally buy items by customer reviews only. I decided to give this shoe a try for the heel height and they were suede. What I was looking for. Look, I’m not trying to ugly or hurt your business in any way. I do feel obligated to the seller and Amazon customers to be totally honest. It’s has to do with the shoe design. The back of the sandal is just way to short on the back of the ankle. So the strap does not sit above the ankle. It sits uncomfortably low on the ankle bone. It’s almost impossible to walk in them! Who on earth ever decided that wrapping the "rock glitter" over the back of the heel was a good idea? It was worse than the harshest sandpaper on my ankle. By the end of the wedding ceremony and pictures, I had blood literally pouring down my ankles into the shoes. I picked these super cute shoes, so the other bridesmaids hate me now. If I had noticed before the wedding, I would have worn preventative bandaids or put some hot glue on the shoe. Since I trusted shoe manufacturers to not be quite so masochistic, I didn't check that. Now, over a week after the wedding, I still have godawful sores on my ankles that make wearing normal shoes impossible. I am sure there will be scars. Frankly, I don't care about scars on my ankles, but still! Two hours in a pair of cute shoes shouldn't scar me for life. If you buy these, protect your ankles! ... show more

Although I read a few bad reviews before purchasing I still wanted to give them a try because I love how sparkly they are. When they arrived I love the look of them. The glitter is not loosely placed on shoe, however it gives it a very rough texture. I wore them for like 7-8 hours I did notice a little discomfort on the back of my heel when putting them on. Once I stood up walking around I didn't feel much poking of the glitter. The next day I did have very sensitive ankles since the glitter did scratch up my skin. I want to easily try to remove the glitter from shoe that irritates me on my ankle, maybe filing it down so its smooth. The only area is the ankle part that I want to fix. I want to wear them again! These shoes are dangerous! Who puts sequins, specks of clear crystal, or whatever it is on the inside of a shoe strap?! My daughter only wore them for minutes as she and her boyfriend went to dinner before their Winterball Dance and the small sequins (whatever they are) sliced gashes on her heels! I bought these to go with my birthday outfit for a night out with close friends. These shoes are super cute and really wanted to love them, however, the back of the heel, has glitter pieces and they hurt like heck as they were rubbing against my skin all evening. I tried putting bandaids on my foot but they didn't help and even caused the bandaids to fall off. I legit had to take my shoes off mid evenings cos they were hurting the back of my foot so bad and at one point, one of my heels started to bleed. My Niece wore these to our Football Homecoming, as she was running for Princess. She had to walk onto the football field in these. She never wears heels. But she had NO problems walking in these! They didn’t sink, and she never once wobbled in them! The heels are wide and sturdy, and PERFECT for anyone who wants to wear heels, but maybe isn’t used to wearing them. She’s a size 5, and these fit her PERFECTLY. They didn’t slide around, her toes didn’t hang over the edge, and they fit her feet like they were made for her. I usually wear a size 8-8 1/2. It was a little tight. My foot kept slipping down so that the back of the shoe doesn't fit right, not snug around heel ankle area. They were beautiful, but it was difficult to walk because the back inside of the heel of the shoe didn't fit snug.. So when walking the back of the heel wasn't secure and just flopped. Couldn't walk with them without tripping. Thinking maybe a smaller size would make the heel fit closer. No. The back of the heel wouldn't hold snug, so it was clumpy and absolutely dangerous. Although the color is beautiful, the sparkles are not coated so are rough to the touch. I wouldn't wear these with a maxi size dress, it would snag it. ... show more
