    • Great! Had to toe it in a little. Used it for the rear rim.

Real good product. I used it for my rear rim. I replaced my old one with the same model (except this one is one centimeter longer - LOL). At first I set it in place so that the entire length would rest absolutely flat against the rim. Well, like with a lot of other people, it squealed whenever I applied the brake. So I toed it in a little to solve that. It means the entire length will not press against the rim, but that is just the way it is for anyone. I set it as close to flat as I could when I toed it in. I mounted these on the rear rim. This means its braking will not be as strong as the front brakes since the momentum of the bicycle carries forward. So, considering the rear braking will always be weaker than the front ones, it does a great job. ... show more

I think the brake shoes on my bike was at least 20 years old, so it was time to replace them. My husband was able to get these new ones on without any difficulty, and they grip the wheels quite well. I wouldn't recommend letting your brake shoes go for so long as I could tell if I needed to stop, my old shoes wouldn't do the job. The quality of these shoes are worth it, so when I need to replace them in the future, I'm sure we'll get these again since the price is right. ... show more
